FF:NZ summer job hunting

I've just got to say that I HATE job interviews. I always manage to make some mistake and wreck it.

Today I went to one, and it wasn't til I got home that I realized I still had their pen in my hand. That's going to go down well, stealing their office supplies before I'm even employed. Arg!!

 

what a theif! hahahaha

yea - after my week of parties im gonna get a job in a garden centre or something!

last night dad did the whole:

"Well another chapter in our life is complete, school's over, you shoudl think about a job now - speech"

even suggested working at a vineyard JP - like you! hehe might do - you could "show me the ropes of how to tie grape vines! hehe (only bad thing about working in a vineyard - cant eat the grapes (they're not table grapes - so taste yuk!) hehe

 

Wine grapes taste fantastic, you twit.

Especially Gewurztraminer. Yum.

But they don't ripen until April. heh heh heh...

Yeah, well they just called to say they rejected me, with the usual line about 'we'll keep your details on file' - whatever. *sigh* I was going to ask if they wanted their pen back, but I thought that might make it worse.

Well, on to the next one.

there are a number of agencies for them and you can do all sorts of work

whatever you do DONT do tele-marketing, im not even old yet but sheeesh they're annoying!

 

ick, job hunting gives me the creeps. I'll have to start soon, my course finishes in January. I have work experience soon, kinda know the guy who owns the place (brothers friends dad) so it shouldnt be too bad.

speaking of wine, had my girlfriends christmas function at Trents Winery on Saturday, So much wine, so little time.

Unfortunately SFL's still underage, so a job selling liquor is probably not wise. That and the fact he'd be "sampling" the product when standing in the supermarket isles in his apron and with those stupid thimbles that pass for cups...

i'm going through this as well, the worse ones are where you don't even get a reply, at least when you get a PFO letter you know they at least took the time to write......

my mate worked at a alcohol shop (the swanson one JP) and he was 17 - dont have to be 18

he wasnt on the counter tho. plus those students that work in supermarkets that sell wine/beer - some of them are not 18!

 

I was talking about giving out samples in those plastic thimbles in Supermarkets.
