Finally caught Chuck 1.01. It was amusing. Had its moments. And nice to see Jayne back on screen...

 

Chuck is my favourite new show this season. Ive seen the first 8 so far and have enjoyed the all!

 

Oh, and I caught Reaper 1.01 as well. Mildly amusing, but can't say I'm fussed on it.

Ray Wise does a good devil though (but he'll always be Leland Palmer to me)

A few episodes in Chuck and Morgan have the best Halloween costume ever! The shows a gold mine of pop culture references.

 

Heroes: are they trying to make each finale more of an anticlimax than the last...?

Bionic Woman: I liked the finale better when it was the first episode.

 

BW's getting better. Hopefully season 2 will hit its stride.

 

Im not getting the companits on Heroes. Ive sen up to Episode 8 now ('4 Months Ago') and i find it thoroughly compelling viewing. Yeah, id like a little more action. But im still loving the show and the characters.

 

I'm liking reaper, but the plot needs to advance a bit quicker.

Did anyone else catch the new shoes that started last night? (yes, on actual free to air tv)

Psych - a bit over the top and hammy at times, but could be fun to watch.

Six Degrees - I saw the pilot when it first came out, wasn't greatly moved by it, but second time around it kinda sucked me in. I'll keep watching it (for now).


And I just read that they've decided to finish season 1 of Chuck. (Yes, this is the new way of tv - they don't make seasons anymore, they make a few episodes, test ratings, make a few few more episodes, etc. This is what happens when MBA's run hollywood).

 

Even if Chuck only gets one season, Ive still had a bunch of fun with it so far!

 

um wtf happened to heroes??? it finished while america i think had the season finale and iv read the episode summaries on wikipedia and we still have heaps of episodes to go? anyone know what caused that?

Those 2 eps will be shown next year prolly, it's the official end of ratings for all networks regardless so I think all shows go b00m.

 

Yeah, seven probably planned to do that anyway as a mid season finale *shrugs* Unfortunately for us, those two episodes probably won't be shown here until the next chapter starts showing, and who knows when that will be.

 

Saw an ad for Reaper on 7. Let's see how long it stays in the same timeslot/on the air.

 

the last 2 heroes episodes need to be seen. Where they ended it is a terrible point. its worth downloading the last 2 episodes if u can get em.

 

Knight Rider 2008 is bearable if you can survive the first 15 minutes.

Having just finished watching the pilot, I need to revise my opinion down from bearable through inept to woeful.

 

And terminator starts to get interesting around episode 5, but is probably gonna go under anyway. TV just doesnt give it's shows enough time to find their legs anymore....

 

These days you're lucky if they make 5 episodes. The new norm is to make a pilot and then keep making it one episode at a time. If it's a huge hit like Heroes, they *might* just order an entire season, otherwise they scrap it whenever the numbers start to droop.

 

very true. Makes u wonder how many of the great shows on today would be thewre if that was the case....

 

Going to see the Knight Rider thingo later, but I haven't got high hopes. Especially when you've got Val Kilmer as the voice of KITT ... what the?

 

The guy who originally did the voice of KITT was going to do it, but he has an exclusive contract as "the voice" of some car company, and they won't let him do KR because KITT is a different brand of car ... so they got kilmer to do the voice instead.
