Sunday's Meeting Response/Comments

I had a blast there! It was my first meeting, and I got to meet about half of the group. Everyone was nice, and when I studded you guys didn't like do anything rude, so that shows a lot of respect right there, and I had a lot in common with you guys. I hope I can go to another meeting.

What did everybody else think of the meeting?

I personally had a great time! I just wish everyone could have made it.....maybe next time, but I def think our group is hitting some high notes, and I look forward to our next three meetings!!!! I was actually really suprised at how well you handled the pressure of being with us considering your stuttering, as some folks are so self-conscience about it that they won't purposely go into public. Obviously, you are a thoughtful straight-shooter who is well beyond your years, and I for one was very glad you could be with us! Will you be able to make it to the next meetings? What did your mom say about us?

 

I was very glad to have you there at the meeting. I thought you expressed yourself very well and your opinions and pretty much everyone's were thoughtful. One of the things i've always like about sci-fi themed groups is that they tend to be non-judgemental and I was gratified to have a really good feeling after meeting everyone in person.

 

Unless another jedi in black showed up after I left, that was Obey-Wann.

 

QGD - That was your cell phone I heard wasn't it? I had a feeling that was you, no one else tried to sit that close to the banquet room. BTW - The was OW (Bill).

 

i see... i wonder if my jedi mind trick worked cause i dont think anyone noticed me...

edit: i guess i wasnt as inconspicuous as i previously thought... my friends were with me but they didnt want to go to a star wars meeting so i just sat there... they were intrigued by the lightsabers though, and the blaster.

 

QGD!!!!??? You were there outside, and you didn't join in?????? I'M HURT!!!!

 

I gotta hand it to bravo I was a little worried about meeting our group but he was just asking questions and not a bit affraid to speek up and ask questions.

 

yeah i guess i was there... but i didnt want to ditch my friends... plus one of them had to spot me some money cause it was more expensive than i thought.

 

oh man you dog.

 

i also forgot to put my phone on vibrate so it wouldnt do the ring tone so loud... oh well. and yeah, that was a 9 dollar dinner... i could have gone to wendys for cheap!

makin fun of? my friend matt wanted to go in and play with it... he's always loved to "duel" and hes the guy who made a wooden lightsaber with me, but mine died the other day when we were showing a neighborhood kid what lightsaber fighting was all about... sniff.

maybe im just shy or something, and maybe i can make it to the next meeting... and maybe i wont bring some friends that way i dont have to decide between star wars fans and old friends of mine... lol. but obey wann was nice. he said hey guys or somethin when we were outside.

Actually, Jen's gonna post the final list of names for a final vote, the banner is gonna be worked out between JO's friend and DH, and CHUNK's problem is irreconcilable.....next?

I'll have to short list of names up in a poll later today. And here's what we learned:

Chunk can seriously eat.

Kit is a Proton of energy, bouncing all over the place.

QGD - Is not as good as he thought at mind tricks.

And I need to leave furniture wrestling to the professionals.

I had my suspicions from the time 3 teenagers came into a Country Buffet on a Sunday. Not a likely event in the the Suburban Jungle of Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree. And the cell phone was a dead give away. Who else puts the Cantina Theme on a cell phone (of course, who but a SW Geek would recognize it that quickly)?
