well.... BSG hasn't really ever grabbed my imagination... I know, I know .. SHOCK!HORROR!BLASPHEMY! .. but no.

BUT IF I DID DO A BSG costume, it would be Starbuck in her singlets, pants n boots. Nice n simple.

You posted way back when that Nova had become a big NOT POSSIBLE for you, because for now I am concentrating on costumes that are definately needed for it, I asked you to clarify in person just a couple of weeks ago and again it was 'nope, very unlikely'.

SO dude ... are you going or ARENT you? Would you like the cossie done "just in case"? ... just wanna assure you that as long as you let me know no later than the weekend before Nova, I am confident I can get your BSG greens adjusted and the costume together in time for you, if you do decide to go at the last minute, okies.

 

Actually (sorry I'm too lazy to check the nova site) does anyone know when the Nova tickets go on sale? Just so I can make sure my bank account hasn't been killed by purchasing much needed costume stuff, phantom tickets, victorian patterns, random hardware items and the like when I need to look at purchasing...

 

Yes IC, if you've got the time, I'd like that BSG costume finished just in case I come along. Thanks.

There is a guy in the ACG who is currently looking at getting the Battlestar Galactica and Viper pilot patches made. I'm going to be getting a few from him, is anyone else interested? He should have them in about a fortnight, so let me know if you'd like to order them!

They're non-iron on(though you might be able to use iron on interfacing) and look to be about $8 each.

well, that's the price quoted to me currently. He's pretty sure that the price will remain at that. That doesn't include postage, but he lives in Qld, so I daresay it won't be much, especially if I get them all posted to me.

 

Initially over on the ACG boards the price being thrown around is $10-$15 ... $8 depends on 15 or more per patch type? That is he's indicated that price is based on min.15 per type .. ?

yeah, what Bek said. He wasn't originally sure of the price as he hadn't actually spoken to his friend at the time. So that was his estimate, but now he's quoted the price of $8. I don't think that depends on the run. I believe he is having that many made up, and he'll have them there for whoever is interested. Once they're gone, he'll guage interested and maybe do more.

 

Yeah, well wondering because I wanted to ask him direct about numbers needed to get that $8 price for sure, but when I tried earlier/all night to reply on the ACG boards, the site wasnt, and still isnt letting me post for some reason... so thats why I ask here. kewl.

 

Heck... I'd be interested in one of each. Even if I just stitched them to a jacket or some such.

 

The ACG forums have been doing funny things since they were updated.

I'm pretty sure $8 is the final price. He's putting in the order next wednesday, so if I can please have final numbers by Tuesday!

Oh and just to add, he is also going to do Pegasus patches, if anyone is interested on one of those? LMK!

Did my first Spotlight material shop in a long time today and bought some stuff for Supanova. I'm usually starting from a piece of clothing that I alter so a big square of material is SCARY!

Still..Looking forward to it, and I know I've got help if I need it.

 

Try a rectangle, they're slightly less offensive
