Is there anything in sport that's more pointless then hype weeks leading up to a Superbowl?

Good gosh, i don't know why, but this season in particular has REALLY soured me on the elitist attitudes prevalent among the Sportsmedia.

I'm so sick and tired of seeing these guys mugging it up and telling us about how much fun they're having in Miami.

Sports broadcasting really is a dead art.

This year hasn't bugged me all that much, but yes, the bye week is pointless for anything but a media standpoint.

    Da Bears!

The Manning=Marino comparisons continue for one more year, at least. He got over the hump at last, but couldn't seal the deal. He, McNabb, and Dan can form a support group. :p

What, did you shake your magic 8-ball to get that possible glimpse of the future, or are you just being extremely optimistic? You probably just jinxed the Bears, either way.

I suppose it's a little late to be asking this, but what are everyone's thoughts on Tank Johnson being allowed to travel for this game? Do you think it's fair that he was allowed to leave the state, to play the game?

I don't know about the whole case, but I think that if he wouldn't have been aloud to leave under any other circumstances, he shouldn't have been able to leave, and vice versa.

    Who's doing the halftime show?

sloppy first half. loved the Manning face after his INT on their first possession.

This is turning into the type of game the Bears can win: a close game decided by who makes the biggest defensive play at the biggest time.

The Bears have, for the most part, done a great job limiting YAC on the short dump offs, and the Colts have, for the most part, done a good job in not letting Grossman find a receiver downfield for a big gain.

This Halftime show is boring me. makes me sad that I prefer Pepsi to Coke. Of course, I can only really remember one good halftime show, and that was U2 back in February of 2002.

Looking forward to the second half. Hoping to see more of the Manning face.

Go Bears, unless Peyton gets injured ... in which case I cheer for Sorgi to lead the Colts to victory.

Seems like the new blueprint to lose a Championship game in football is return the opening kickoff for a TD ... surefire defeat there.

I thought this was going to be a close game. Chi still has a chance, but they way their playing, they're going to lose.

Decent enough game, I guess. Kinda sloppy, crappy halftime show, but not too bad overall.

Congrats to Manning, Dungy and the Colts.
