"Super Console Wars" is a winner...

Just to let you know, you should all check out SXSW. Everyone's favorite Star Wars and Nintendo parody fan-film, "Super Console Wars" is a finalist in the prestigious South by Southwest Film Fest. Nate Craddock's awesome animation is up for best web comedy, up against the likes of Comedy Central.

Not bad for a Star Wars fan film.

The awards will be announced on Sunday, but I have a good feeling about this... Everyone should vote in the People's choice section as well!

Well I don't want to bother him too much by emailing him repeatedly, but he still hasn't uploaded the versions with subtitles. A bunch of people -included myself- worked for that, and Nate himself said it was because the foreign languages fans were legions, so not only would it make US translators feel happy to see our work appreciated, but it would make THEM, the fans, feel appreciated and cared about.

Guess I'll email him again, it's been a while.

EDIT : Cool news, btw, but I get a page where it says that the deadline for voting has passed...

I hope TFN decides that a fan-film winning at a major film festival is newsworthy.

cool! i love super console wars. one was great, 2 was great, and i just can't wait for the third part!

 

Well just remember that poor Azeem and Max Veers are backed up. So if you sent the film request in, chances are Max got it but hasn't been able to review it yet.
