This convention is coming in November on the 19th and 20th.

I have been to this the last two years and it is a great place to go and meet up with other Star Wars and sci-fi fans.

What all goes on at one of these? I tried to look at the latest flyer but it wouldn't show the events. Are there dealer tables, exhibits, etc? I am kinda interested in going but not sure about it. Would this be an event for Nov since it falls in that month? lol

It's basically a couple of good sized rooms filled with dealers, fan groups and celebrities. If you're looking for any deals my suggestion is to go on Sunday and make the rounds about 2 hours before the show raps up. Some dealers are usually open to making a deal instead of having to pack something up.

What is the Party on Sat night all about? Do you need an extra ticket for that? I haven't been to one of these yet and don't know what is going on.

I may have a couple items to donate for the auction. I think I have a few BK toys floating around I don't need. Who knows what else I have around the house.

The Rocky Horror picture show is pretty funny and has a cult following like no other. When I was going to college at Bowling Green State University there was a dive theater that showed this every Sat night and there was a group of regulars that would dress up and perform during the show. It was a real experience to say the least. lol

I am not sure if my brother and I will hit the party or not that all depends one if he wants to. I still need to find out if he wants to go or not to the con. I am amusing that he does. lol Unless he wants to go to the casino with my wife, mother, my mother-in-law, and my wife's friend. I know I wouldn't want to. lol

I will bring my Epic Duels game for the FanForce Table at the event.

I think it would be great to get a tournament going.

I will be donating a Celebration III Darth Vader and a few other things for the charity raffle.

    Only 2 weeks away.

I think I have a Titanuim series ship or two for the auction. I think I also have a couple of the 1st series of BK toys.

I have never played Epic Duels. I think I have it and I got it on clearance when KB was closing down all the stores. I got alot of games then.

I have thought about getting some autographs, but I have a slight probablem with the concept. I don't feel like dishing out a lot of money for an autograph no matter how much I like the actor. Seeing the prices they want for some of these is a lil crazy. I stayed away from that area at C3 and just concentrated on the exhibitor's hall instead. Don't get me wrong I think that autographs are cool, but that doesn't mean I will spend money to get one. I figure if I watch the movies, go to the cons, etc the actors are already getting paid so why dish out more money. I am sure I will catch some slack for having a different view on the subject, because I am sure that the argument will be brought up that the actors have to make money and stuff. That is fine I understand it, I just don't think it is cool to over pay for a generic photo and 10 seconds with an actor/celebrity.

Anyway, enough of my soap box. lol

I'm wavering on whether or not to get Tem Morrison's autograph. I already got Jeremy & Peter's at C3, so I'm all set with those. I was really hoping Ray Park was going to be there this year. I passed on him at C3 and now I'm kind of sorry I did because all I've heard is how great a person he is.

Getting the 2 "Three's Company" women on the same photo might make for a neat 'novelty' photo in our family room. I could put it right next to the Peter Ostrum (Charlie from Willy Wonka) auto'd picture we have framed down there :D

Alright this is what I have confirmed for the charity raffle
    (2) Celebration III Darth Vader
    (2) Chase Burger King Vader from summer promotion.
    (2) Burger King watches

I will probably have a bunch of other small stuff too maybe as give away for the kiddies and some stuff for the older fans.

I will bring some refreshments along too mostly water and sodas.
If anyone has anything they can bring along let me know so I don?t bring double of it.

I also will have my Epic Duels game so we can have a tournament while at the convention.

What time are people getting there? I may get there around 11:00 or so depending on if I work in the am quick. I am doing a project for the Mass State Police and depending on how many cars we get for them between now and this weekend I may have to work the am.

I am not sure if I will be attending now. I just got word from my best friend who is practically my brother since we know each other so well that his father passed away last night in his sleep. His dad was like my father since I didn't see mine much after my parents got a divorce. He taught me alot about myself as well as life itself. I am trying to make arrangements to get back to OH for the funeral. The only bad thing is my mother and brother are coming out here on Thursday for the weekend and I was supposed to do alot of stuff with my brother. This is tough.

I will be heading home tomorrow morning and coming back Sat night. I may go to MegaFest on Sunday who knows. I may need a distraction besides work. Which I also plan to do that day in the morning.

Thanks for the support guys. The guy was like a father to me and to hear from my best friend that he passed really hurt and totally shocked me. But we both agreed he is in a better place without pain and suffering. He went through enough of that the past few yrs.

I had a great time at the convention. I am a little sore from holding up that sign on Sunday but it was well worth it for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

A total of $423.50 was raised at the convention.

Temuera Morrison was very entertaining and was nice enough to donate two autographed pictures for the basket raffle on Sunday.

And a personal favorite of mine was Jeremy Bullock[:D]

As usual he is always great to meet and talk to, but he came over without being asked and donated an autographed pic and a special framed film cell and autographed that also for the raffle basket. =D=

Then when I went over to his table and purchased his book he signed my book ($60.00 plus a signed picture included). and I asked for my action figure card signed he did that also.
I was ready to pay for the book and then said "Pick out a photograph also". I said "Well you already signed the book and my item so I thought that was the extra autograph as part of the sale of the book".
He then said "Think of it as an extra holiday bonus" [face_love]

And then when I went to pay he said that it was only $60.00 dollars!!!
And on top of that he included a Honorary 501st Collector's Card of himself and signed it!!!

I couldn't of been more happy unless he adopted me.

He was so incredibly generous with his donation of items to the raffle basket.
And his wife who I always see with him was nice enough to take pictures for the fans with Jeremy.
And each time he was asked for a photo,I saw him get up from behind the table and stand with fans and snap a picture.

Thank you Mr.Bullock you made my day and I hope to see him again soon.

That was pretty cool what they did for the auction. I heard that they were both really nice. One of my friends told me that him and another bud were talking to Jango Fett I can't spell the name I know it was in the previous message so I won't try. lol And they too said he was great and told them a few stories about AOTC and some stuff that went on behind the scenes during the shooting of the film. Pretty interesting stuff.
