Really, as cool as it would be to reunite the canon Captain N supporting cast (Pit, Mega Man and Simon Belmont), I think Sonic is the one that's required. People have been waiting 15+ years to pit Mario vs Sonic, and it's possibly finally here- it's not just epic, it's historical. The 16-bit wars may finally have their endnote...three generations later, hehe.

I offer my apologies [face_blush] I hope you accept it

On a more pathetic note I've seen the trailer several times now.

I love the part of the trailer where Mario, Link, and Pikachu all get upgraded from their Gamecube versions to their Wii versions. Then, when Kirby goes to do it, he looks exactly the same and looks around confused. Classic! [face_laugh]

    Oh Hell hell HELL yes!

So many good memories of me and my buddies playing Melee till all hours of the night, even with classes the next day :p
With online multiplayer, it ought to still be possible to play with them! Wiiii!
I hope Nintendo is pulling out the stops to try to get Sonic in this game. As Quest said, it's just... neccessary.

My dream list includes (but not neccessarily limited to):

    Mario
Link (Shadow Link is in full shadow)
Luigi (With significantly different moves from his brother)
    Zelda/Shiek
Samus (Zero/Prime/Fusion/spandex/Phazon suits instead of color changes)
    Fox
    Yoshi
    Donkey Kong
    Bowser
    Wart
    Peach
    Ganondorf (faster)
    Pikachu
    Kirby
    Sonic
Megaman (changing his colors is almost too easy)
    Simon Belmont
    Pit
    Crono [face_love]
    Marth
    Ridley/Meta Ridley (I can dream, can't I?)

The only thing I didn't like about Melee's list was all the duplicate characters. Especially the Mario ones. No reason for young link for example. Yeah the moves were tweaked... but not enough.

The Wiivolution is looking more interesting.

And I coin the above term. It's mine. Trademarked!

    lol.

I have never owned a Nintendo console, but I think this may win me over. Depends on how that wack controller handles.

Protip: You can use a gamecube controller to play it.

Also; GRAMMER NAZIS ARE THE DEVIL!!!

Not just this game, I meant the console in particular. I assume most games are going to use the motion detector.

Not to mention I wasn't that fond of the GC controller anyway.

Apparently Nintendo of Japan is letting Japanese fans vote on some of the characters that will be in the game. A very cool idea and I wish I could read Japanese so I could fill out the survey.

    IGN article here.

Nintendo is awesome, but why won't they let us in the states vote?

I still like Gannondorf the best. He is my favorite character on that game.I love his moves, I am pretty much unbeatable with him.

They'd better bring back Roy, or swap him with Eliwood, he's the man.

    A translation:

    Hello there, Games forum denizens!

So, the newest game from the Super Smash Brothers series has been released! (on a side note, I must protest the terms of nomenclature which the excellent folks at Nintendo decided upon. Have they pulled forth the name "Wii" from the very depths of hell? I certainly believed that "Revolution" was superior.)

Also, due to the fact that Solid Snake from MSG will be making an appearance in SSB: Brawl, would it not chill your bones to their very core if Jill Valentine was a playable character in Brawl as well? She would certainly be able to insert her foot into an opposing player's rectum--believe me, I would tell.

I hope my thoughts on the subject were enjoyable, readers of this post.

    Love,
    Todan

Well, Jill was in MvsC2... so who knows.

But seriously, Wii is officially my console of choice this next gen.

I'm pretty excited about this game since I loved the first two SSB games, but too bad it is not going to be a launch title for the Wii.

I think out of the five new revealed characters, Pit looks the most awesome to me.

I dunno, Samus looks... different, but she's not really a "newcomer" is she? I mean, it seems all they changed was the costume. But yes, Pit looks really cool in this game. I didn't really want Metaknight in there, nor Wario (yes I'm against the majority of you here).
