Big Hero Six should be included. That could open up an entirely new stream of films if it's a hit.

Legion of Superheroes? I'd love to see Validus and Mordru.

I started with 2015 since BHS isn't being overtly branded as a Marvel superhero film but rather more of a Frozen/Wreck-It-Ralph Disney series entry, more like The Incredibles than anything else.

But, yeah, I could see how it could become a series in of itself. But, realistically, we probably wouldn't see a sequel for a very long time given the turn around time on animated films combined with Disney's already determined release schedule of animated movies combined with Disney controlling Marvel and being aware of those release dates.

I'm not thinking sequels. I'm thinking smaller Marvel properties getting Disney animation films.

Ah, true. But that wouldn't negate the Disney animation slate, the Disney/Marvel release schedule coordination or the production time for animated features.

EDIT- Rumor is that the two "Event Films" are actually part of the Harry Potter spin-off and not DCU films.

Wouldn't that be something. A combined universe that spans live action TV series from 2 different studios, live action films and then animated films all in the same universe and potentially having characters cross over.

Not going to happen, but it would be groundbreaking.

I don't anticipate more than a glancing crossover, but I can definitely see Disney animation running with it. Two films a year/ every 18 months, one Marvel type heroes, one More traditional. With everything they own now and the the resurgence, Disney can own eight months a year.

The Riddick universe almost had something like that- besides the films there's the animated Dark Fury, the Butcher Bay game and, at one point, they were planning a TV series spin-off based on Kyra I believe.

Unfortunately, the movies no longer have coherent plots. That's not.

What are you talking about? The Amazing Spiderman series is one of the worst superhero films in recent memory. Quite literally, its films are being delayed and cancelled while other major properties are getting spin-offs. Comparing to the whole spate of films in the last 10-15 years, it only ranks even worse.

Your lack of comprehension skills doesn't reflect on the coherency of things around you.

Explain to me again why a guy who started out wanting to help disabled people magically turned into a guy with an evil plot to turn everyone into superhuman reptiles? Because I sort of feel like they just hand-waved that whole point.

Also, it's not just me here. The reviews for ASM 2 carried these same criticisms. The sales numbers were actually disappointing.

We were talking about this in the social thread on the Ep. VII board. The past decade+ has been the golden age of the comic book movie, and the bar and the quality seem to keep getting higher and higher (particularly on the Marvel side). But no matter how good these films are, at some point the bubble is going to burst. It has to. Seven movies in 2016. Potentially ten in 2017 (though I suspect a few of those will be canceled or delayed)? Not to mention, super hero based shows are all over TV right now.

I love the genre, but even I'm getting a little burnt out.

Still love the genre and cannot wait to see all these movies and more. No burnout here, I'm only just getting warmed up.

Five, maybe ten years ago, such a schedule would've left me like this: [face_hypnotized][face_money_eyes]:-B[face_hypnotized][face_dancing]

Now...I feel a little queasy. Like perhaps there CAN be too much of a "good" thing (meaning bad). One can only wonder when this bubble is gonna burst.

With this many films you have to cherry pick. I can state with reasonable assurance that I will definetly be seeing all the X-Men and Avengerverse films. The rest will be strictly on a case by case basis.
