Hey! How's everyone doing? Just wanted to let everyone know that June9-10th is the Superman Festival in Metropolis Illinois. The Southern Illinois FF Will have the Stage at the comic con both days. We will be doing a Jedi training for the little kids and I'm not sure what else we will be doing. but It would be a good to hang out.

Got post C4 Depression? Did not get to make it to LA?

Then come on down to Metropolis IL June 9-10 for our 30th Anniversary Birthday Bash at the Superman Days Comic Con at the Amerihost Theater!

Join the Southern Illinois Jedi Order and the Paducah Imperial Fanforces as we party hometown-style in celebration of the greatest movie saga of all time!

Rekindle the excitement with fellow fans as we celebrate 30 years of Star Wars complete with games, trivia, door prizes - a charity raffle for a Force FX Lightsaber, fun for kids with a JR. Jedi Academy, Mask and craft table, Miniatures and birthday cake!

The party is taking place during one of the largest events in Southern Illinois: Superman Days. It is located next to Harrah's Casino and there will be a carnival there as well as major activities outside, while our event is inside the nice air conditioned theater.

We would be honored if you would join us!

Come down, bring the kiddies - and have some fun!

We're getting ready to have our own 'celebration' Midwest Fanforce Style!

It starts at 9AM Saturday at the Amerihost Hotel and Theater which is down the street from Harrahs Casino where all the Superman Days activities will be taking place.

It WILL BE CROWDED with thousands of people attending the Superman Festival but you will see just about every superhero in costume you can imagine.

But that is in this galaxy, not so far away.

We're celebrating the one far, far away.

Metropolis is right off the last I-24 Exit before Kentucky. Follow the main road and signs towards the Casino and when you get to Main Street - turn Left towards the Casino. Right before you get to the big arching sign that says "Harrah's", turn left on that street and follow down a block until you come upon the Amerihost Hotel, which will be on your right. Turn right and then left into the parking lot. We will try to have signs up.

We will have a Jedi Academy where kids will get to make masks and build their own 'lightsabers' before being instructed by our Jedi Knights in the ways of the Jedi before taking on our Sithlords in combat. We will also have some lightsaber demonstrations and combat fun for any fan wanting to cross sabers.

There will be raffles, door prizes, Star Wars "Stoop the Trooper" Trivia game, A Star Wars Miniature Tournament, Classic Board Games and lunch provided Saturday for all Fanforce members in costume. We are celebrating 30 years of Star Wars, and this is our party, and we will be raising money for a local Charity.

We hope to see you this coming Saturday and Sunday!!!
