I now have the banner in hand. It looks pretty good.

That is a great item to donate Matt. We will definitely have to do a separate raffle for that one. I was thinking about picking up some of the new SW ornaments for the basket kinda go with an Xmas theme one and see how that works.

    Another guest list update...

Karen Black (last in Rob Zombie's "House of 1000 Corpses", also in "Family Plot", Alfred Hitchcock's last film)
    Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster)
Chanel Ryan (men's magazine model...I think she was scheduled at previous SMFs, but don't know if she actually appeared)

Aexeous, the giant Sci-Fi robot, will also be around for viewing both days.

BTW, Chris, I did mention Julie Newmar's appearance in an earlier post.

Kevin, I made mention of your table on our web site's Supermegafest thread, in case anyone comes across the site before finding this board or the show's site. :D

Kevin that is great that you will be there.

I know your art will be a hit.

Good to hear of some of the items that everyone is donating for the charity.

Just a little update to the guest list.

Not huge by any means but definetly for the kids, robot builders, enthusiasts, etc.

Aexeous the gigantic Sci-fi Robot both days.

So just out of curiousity who is attending? I know a few of you will be there.

I should be getting some information from the theater today about what they will be donating.

Sounds good Chris. Let us know what kind of 'goodies' you score for the table.

BTW, I forgot to mention I also have some of the single carded Galactic Heroes for the raffle baskets as well.

Mike I haven't seen many of those single carded Galactic Heroes.

I did see some at the Christmas Tree Shops.

But not too many at regular stores.

I found them (or I should say my wife did) at the Dollar Store on 135 in Ashland. I checked out the Dollar Store in Milford, but they had none.

I didn't know Christmas Tree had them though.

Frank Avruch at SMF? How bizarre! I remember watching that Bozo show every day after school. :) I always wanted to get me one of those giant Tootsie Rolls they always gave away.;)

Other updates that Chris missed, I think...

Leeanna Heart (adult film star, regular on "The Howard Stern Show")
Teseracte Players (local "Rocky Horror Picture Show" cast)

Well I got the first bunch of posters today.

I got about 9 posters for Elizabeth: The Golden Age

and 8 for Gone Baby Gone. That was what I could carry home today.

I know the Elizabeth posters may not be in high demand but that is what I could get and anything is better than nothing.

I should be getting more stuff in the coming weeks including t-shirts hopefully.

Hey the BATMOBILE has been added to SuperMegaFest.

I got a few more items today.

2 t-shirts size small female style for the movie "Across the Universe" as well as two hats for this movie.

Also I got 2 hats for the movie "We Own The Night".

I should be getting more stuff this week and I will be networking some more to get additional stuff donated.

Also I have been told by Marie she will be making the con and coming up from New Jerseys. I will confirm with her.
I have to check and see if Gary will be coming up also. :)

Hope you can make it out for a day at SMF.

I just got my room at the Sheraton for that Saturday night.

With the event now a month away, I sent a MySpace bulletin to our Boston Rebels MySpace friends alerting them of that fact. The bulletin has links to this thread, the donations thread here, and the SMF thread on the MIS web site. It may not necessarily increase attendance, but at least those who may be interested in going know the event is approaching.

Hope to see you there it has been too long.

Maybe we can get an Epic Duels Tournament going at the table. [face_devil]

I 'll bring my game along.

Since we're less than 4 weeks way from SMF and the possibility of a meet between now and then looks slim, I need to know how many people have donations for the baskets.

I met up with Jorge on Saturday and grabbed his stuff (thanks again for the generosity bud!), but I still need to meet up with anyone else who has stuff and needs to get it to me. If you're going to be at SMF first thing Saturday, you can just bring it with you. If you're going to be there Sunday only, just come a little early and we can slot all your stuff for the Sunday basket.

If you can't make it either day, drop me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. Maybe meet halfway or something. Again, just LMK.

    Thanks,
    ?DW

So what time are we supposed to be there to set up/work the table?

I assume that if we are working a table there's no admission charge?

NEWBIE ALERT..... LOL.... Is it that obvious?

PS - If I disappear for a while, please email me at Hotmail (PM me if you need my addie). I am going to be switching jobs soon and don't yet know what sort of access I will have to check in here.

Right now it looks like if you're going to be attending, you'll need to buy a ticket to the con. My suggestion is to buy it in advance on the SMF web site. It will save you a couple of bucks but more importantly, it will keep you from having to wait in line Saturday morning to buy one (those lines get REAL long).

I should be getting the posters and t-shirts the first weekend of November.

When I find out specifically I will post it up here and on our private boards.

So who is going to attend and on what days?

Please let us know as I need to pick up beverages to have at the show.

    Thanks,
    Chris
