    I'll be there.
I have spoken with the organizers, They haven't finalized a Star Wars guest yet, but they have spoken with a few. I hope they decide soon, so I can figure what i'm doing, art-wise.

Kevin that is great you are going.

So I take it you will be a guest again?

I am really looking forward to the SMF show.

We can hang out in the lounge area again after the con. :)

Well I got a 5 of the Mummy: Curse of the Dragon Emperor movie posters today as well as 2 Mummy t-sirts. :)

Also probably not a huge favorite but I got a few "Mama Mia" posters and 2 t-shirts [face_plain]

I am hoping to get some more soon.

I talked to one of the other employee of the theater and she was at last years SMF.

I think she will be helpful for the charity.

I love the Mummy films! Though 'Dragon Emperor' is said to be bad... hopefully that won't matter during the auction. I'm seeing it tomorrow!

    Good job! :)

I will put something up on Rebelscum and other forums to get the word out.

I will be putting a few things aside today for the gift basket and post what I will have.

I noticed that the other day as well. all of the info is about last-years show. My guess is the site crashed and the most recent back-up they had was the 2007 info.

I am anxiously awaiting the guest list for this year.

I am hoping for some great Star Wars guests this year.

Anyone have any guesses or someone they would like to see attend?

I would love for Mark Hamill to go but he is a extremely busy guy.

Mark Hamill would be great, but I'm guessing highly unlikely like you said. Peter Mayhew and Temura Morrison seem to have been very active with the recent conventions, I wouldn't mind either of them. Hey, last year they had Burt Ward and Adam West, maybe this year we'll get Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker. One can dream. They've been to SMF before I believe? I've only been to the last two.

I've only been to the last 4 SMFs but I know all of those 4 you mentioned have already been here once in that time. I don't think they'll ever land a SW 'A-List' celeb like Hamill or Fisher. I just don't know how well Hamill would be received when people show up and find out he's asking $100-150 for an autograph.

I know David Prowse was supposed to attend 2 years ago and backed out due to an illness. Maybe they could get him to attend. I'd also like to see some first-timers like maybe Daniel Logan or Jake Lloyd.

When I went to see Mark Hamill back in 2004 I bought a package deal and that included autograph, picture taken with Mark (that was printed out on the spot) and he did a 45 to 60 minute Q&A which was very entertaing.

I am not sure what Mark's cost was at Celebration Japan but I can't imagine it would be as high as 100 bucks.

At Celebration Japan he was charging 20,000 Yen which at today's exchange rate works out to $184.70. Also, when he appeared at Celebration Europe, he was charging about $170.

No new information on the website.

I did turn up a Star Wars Transformer Millennium Falcon and some action figures for the basket.

I will update the list when I have some more items.

I've got a small stash of things as well. So far I have:

    - 2 figures
    - 2 individually carded 'unleashed' figures
    - 1 2-pk of GH figures
    - 1 pk of pocket models
    - Plus I have the orig. Marvel ROTJ comic books that we held back from last years raffles.
    - I may also be donating a hardcover book or two.

Mike those are some nice items.

We will hopefully have another successful year for charity.

Are we on the MDA website or are they aware we are raising money on their behalf?

It could help us to be able to put up flyers or be on the SMF website as the way the 501st is on there annualy.

    Ed that is great!
    Thanks again.

Last year you really went above and beyond with helping out the charity.

For those of you who weren't on hand at SMF last year, donated this huge LEGO Tantive IV. It helped raised quite a bit for the charity last year.

Ed hope to see you soon. I will keep in touch with you and we will make some plans for SMF. :)

Folks I heard a rumor today I was not happy to hear.

I am hearing that the Boston SMF may not happen.

The rumor was because the New Jersey show was such a big success that they are abandoning the Boston show.

Whoever has a contact person with SMF can you please call and find out what is going on with the future of the con here.

I hope that what I heard today was wrong.

I can't understand why the Boston show had a huge turnout last time and gets better each year with the attendance and show.

    NO WAY!!!!

I know Korey already has secured a table and passes to the event for the group. Hopefully this rumor is just that, a rumor.

Is there a 'biting fingernails' emoticon?

I did some snooping on the web. The only thing that ould make me nervous that the event was not going to happen would be the fact that ticket master is not selling any tickets to the event yet. There is no other indication that the show is cancelled. We'll have to kep an eye out there..
