hopefully they can have someone else write the first half of the story in a way that defies fans' expectations and crushes their hopes, then they can finish it by for some reason doing the exact opposite thing.

All of SW is mythology. The statement tells us nothing.

 

Why don't we get that trilogy about the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker, and his friendship with Obi Wan Kenobi?

 

Because prequel fans are awful.

 

tpm is the best

 

I was over it when Zahn was doing it.

 

TPM is a decent sci fi/fantasy film, but it's also a mediocre SW film.

 

I don’t think it’s fair to call tpm mediocre. mediocre films don’t provoke the kind of reaction that tpm received. call it terrible, hate it all you want, but it is a gonzo, weird, crazy amalgamation.

 

Man I wish it were gonzo.

We were somewhere around Naboo, on the edge of the blockade, when the drugs began to take hold. of the prequels? Yes. But it is boring, which is the sin of all sins for a Star Wars films.

You know, at first I was skeptical when CBR called for an R-rated Star Wars film.

 

On one of my 1001 Movies You Must Watch Before You Die books, it has Salo as one of them.

Sexy Twi'leks get a pass though.

 

They do if they have a hardcore fanbase with often unrealistically high expectations that clearly can't be met.

TLJ showed even a critically acclaimed movie can be divisive, because a lot of fans want things a certain way.

 

Can someone do a Fan Edit of TPM and replace Watto with Gonzo (and Camilla, when appropriate)?

Or, you know what, I liked Watto. Make it Qui-Gon we replace.
