SW:CCG Apprentice patch is forthcoming

Many of you may have heard of Apprentice; it's a program originally designed to play Magic The Gathering online, and it was also adapted to play LOTR TCG too. Myself and a couple others have been working on figuring out how to play SWCCG on Apprentice, and we think we have the mechanics worked out, so all we have to do now is type in the card stats.

Apprentice is much faster, smoother and more reliable than Cardtable, so if any of you would like to try playing SWCCG online, Apprentice is the way to go.

I'll let you guys know when the patch is finished, plus all the various things you'll need to know about how to work it. Managing the flow of the Force is the trickiest part, but I'm sure it'll be easy to get the hang of.

An online version would be great. I tried the Cardtable version but couldn't get it to work. So something else would make me happy. Especially since I think I'm the only player left in my state.

 

I have used Apprentice for the TCG and it works excellent. Much better than cardtable.

 

Patch status update: I've just about finished with the Hoth set, so it'll still be a while before the patch is finished.

Looks like there will be a delay; I was midway through Special Edition this morning when I had a power crash, and I lost what I had worked on recently. I had a backup, but it was only updated through Dagobah, so I have to redo the Cloud City and Jabba's Palace cards before I can get back to where I was.

 

Status update:

Both Light Side and Dark Side cards through the Cloud City set are in the patch (I had previously only done Dark Side cards).

 

does that mean we can play?!

 

The site that hosts the Apprentice program doesn't seem to be working.

The patch is more or less done now. I just need to go over it and make sure there are no errors.

Here's how certain game functions work:

Force activation and use:

Click on your Library and shift-drag the cards 1 at a time to the gaming surface. Make the Force and Used Piles a horizontal row at the top (or bottom, depending on which side of the screen you are using) of your screen. When you use Force, drag the rightmost card of your Force Pile to the next card in your Used Pile.

Locations:

The first number listed in a location's stats is the Dark Side Force icons, followed by Light.

Destinies:

When a card is in your hand, the number you see is not its deploy/forfeit cost, but its destiny number. You will need to right-click on the card and view it to see its deploy cost (if any).

Objectives:

I made two separate cards for each Objective, representing the front and the back. You will need to include both cards in your deck, and flip the appropriate one face-up/down as necessary.
