    I'd argue Star Wars is significantly bigger, both in terms of adjusted gross, and cultural impact.

    I don't see Avatar shirts, toys, tv shows, books, or even forums out there. I'm sure there's a forum, but still! All hail Star Wars!

    I've always had some (irrational?) fear that something will happen that will prevent the movie from being released.. and this goes back to the prequel era. Something like an EMP attack. Or at least thinking I'd be stricken blind or be bedridden in some hospital preventing me from watching the movie. :_|

    8 months (standard rotations?) away... that seems a lot longer than the Kessel run. Wish this was coming out May 1st instead of the Avengers.

    Where did you hear this? The trailer says "this Christmas" but it doesn't mean Xmas day, just the general time period.
