What if they only have one tape of the movie and it breaks?

Hm, any folks with better knowledge of the movie biz care to opine on what that (moving up some of the overseas release dates by a day or two) means?

Does it reflect confidence in the finished film (or what execs have seen of it so far), or is it likely to be a more pedestrian business/marketing reason?

Had to bump this being that we are now at the SIX MONTH mark!!!!

 

A thirty four year old man really shouldn't be this excited about a movie.

 

Why in the world not????

 

Wasn't really a serious post. basically just saying that I'm as excited as a kid about this movie.

 

Six months out exactly.

 

It'll be a miracle if I am able to survive another six months. Knowing my luck I'll die a week before. I feel like this movie will never be seen by anyone....

I actually miss those days. I was so much more optimistic about this movie then

 

It doesn't seem all that long ago that I was stunned by the news of Disney acquiring Lucasfilm and in complete joy over the announcement of a new film, thought it would never get here.. now the wait is starting to get really unbearable. Just 4 months to go!

 

Inching closer by the minute.

 

School is going to start here in a few weeks. Once that hits it is a fast ride to Christmas. I am running out of time for all of my deadlines.

 

Force Friday in a couple of weeks, then we get the Wendig novel (Aftermath) shortly after, then there's a big stretch of nuthin, then Battlefront in mid-November.

And sometime during that big stretch 'o nuthin, the trailer will drop... So, something every month from now until then pretty much. Should make the wait a little more bearable

 

I don't know if I've ever been in this thread before. This is the first time I'm seeing that timer at the top

 

All I want is Finn with a lightsaber in that next trailer. The trailer could be nothing more than a looped gif of Finn slashing a stormtrooper followed by the title card and release date, and I'd be more than thrilled.
