ST SW Episode VII to OPEN DECEMBER 18, 2015

Just out of curiosity, is there a spoiler policy for the 16th-18th? Or am I going to have block this site from all my internet devices?

 

I'm going offline just before the movie is released and won't be back until after I've seen it.

It is the 18th of November here is Aus.
Well, here the movie opens on the 17th, but the official opening date is still the 18th in my head. Whatever.

I do agree the weird mix of dates is crazy.

 

O my gosh, just realized that in exactly one month at this time I will have just finished watching The Force Awakens.

 

In exactly one month my showing will be starting in twelve minutes. Well, the trailers will be starting, but you get the idea.

 

in exactly one month and 5 days, I'll have finished VII.

 

(Joke destroyed by being nowhere near I am the Internets farting with excitement post) Oh, that's what that smell is? I couldn't place it.

Well, I'll be snoozing during X-Men, but Cap will have me at attention.

Since the Cap trailer is attached, I guess I will go see this 2x, especially since gal pal gets hilarious whenever she sees Chris Evan's Cap. Because Winter Soldier damn it...oh right... Star Wars...

 

So here we are, my friends. One calendar month to go before The Force Awakens. The final stretch...

My question is this: How is everyone feeling about how this will turn out?

Are you positive, buoyed by the trailers and TV spots and confident that TFA will be amazing?

Are you hopeful, but still needing to be convinced?

Or are you doubtful, concerned that TFA cannot possibly live up to the hype?

I post this with simple curiosity, but please note - don't make this a bashing session or a vs. thing. That's not the intention.

It is surreal how close we are. I think in 10 days I will start counting down in days instead of weeks.

 

This movie will be absolutely amazing! I have no doubt about that.

 

One month to go (or 29 days if you live in Bonnie Scotland!) and I cannot wait. I am extremely hopeful from what I have seen from the trailers and I am totally buzzed about the new saga going forward. Without seeing a lot, I have totally bought into new characters and I hope they can deliver on their early promise as I really feel that the Boyega/Ridley/Issacs/Driver combo can carry the franchise forward. Saying that, I am also slightly cautious as I do recall being sequally excited about the TPM release back in 1999. As much as I enjoyed it at the time (probably seen it 4/5 times) that film and the subsequent trilogy suffered from the burden of expectation, some pedastrian Direction and excessive box ticking.

All in all...I'm very hopeful and slightly cautious at the same time but I really feel that they can deliver and I fully expect to have a smile as wide as the Atlantic Ocean when I walk out of the cinema on the 17th.

I have had some journey since the Sale of Lucasfilms to Disney, My Lithium Poisoning that led to Kidney failure and almost dying. My move To Punta Gorda Florida, so this movie that is so close now that I feel I can touch it will be extra special to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am embarrassingly hyped.

a small, childish part of me would love if it's terrible just to see how this place reacts.

 

it's not even one month left, the 18th is the wide release in North America and the first International markets get the movie on the 16th which is basically the 15th in North America given the time differences.

 

4 weeks tonight just after midnight, so it begins.
