ST SW Episode VII to OPEN DECEMBER 18, 2015

less than a month for me.

 

I am staying away from here when some of the first fans on here see the film so I don't get spoiled to much or swayed one way or another, so from the 16th of December, or may be before that to when I see the Movie at 10:00AM on the 18th of December. It will be hard to have the will power to stay away but I must...

 

This pic reminds me of the Chimney sweeps dancing in Step in Time in Mary Poppins. Which, I am listening to right now.

 

K so my theater is Regal and its here in the US, it has multiple showings for TFA on the 17th in the evening... I got the tickets from fandango. How is this possible when it is supposed to open on the 18 in the US?

Because a lot of theaters are showing it on the 17th.

 

Big movies typically have a showing the day before. My manager ( at a regal ) also said if they are able to she will screen it the 16th for employees ( which would be hard not to accept )

usually do that to check if the movie runs properly.

 

Ok then why is it "opening" on the 18th if a lot of theaters are showing it early?

well that's it for me,it's Nov 18. I'm out "to exile I go."
today we are one month away from wide release in North America but not from overall release from International so we are less than a month away from non stop spoilers/interviews/footage. I don't want to ruin the experience.

Also after thinking about it for awhile, I've also decided to leave the forum permanently so this is my last post on the force.net. I went in the entire 6 movie Saga being oblivious to what would happen, didn't even know Episode I was a prequel starring Kenobi and Anakin until I was in theaters. I kinda miss being oblivious to everything and watching things unfold for the first time on screen without knowing anything or watching any footage beforehand. The most magical time is to watch a SW movie for the first time.

Why not go to non spoilers? Just feels like I would like to move away from the over analyzing and over-discussion and over speculating and just enjoy the franchise the way I used too and the full answers will come when the movies are out. Besides one movie a year, comic books, novels, video games,and more and more SW TV shows in the future should keep one satisfied/preoccupied with SW in the years to come. After all VII was always the gateway to more SW and that door is almost open....

Hope you guys have fun killing each other to post any new rumor/news since I won't be there to do so anymore.

It was fun in the last almost 2 years discussing post VI SW with you guys, I hope you all enjoy the movie. I also hope people will accept who Rey is regardless of who she ends up being. I hope these Finn vs Rey debates end and that people love both characters.

My final hope/wishes is to all the people that aren't satisfied with Luke's rumored role in VII and that you guys all end up either liking his role in VII or that you at least end up being OK with his ST role but better if you end up liking his role.

The 18th is the official opening day and it can have showtimes at any point during the day. The 17th can have shows starting at 7PM, and that is basically moved earlier from what used to be midnight shows.

 

Who the **** is going to post all of those links now?

"So when are you seeing it?"
"7:30 in the 17th"
"But I thought you said it was coming out on the 18th?"

Just like EHT said, the midnight premier turned into the 7:00 PM premier.
