I am happy to announce that strilo's banner has been selected as the winner of the SW Music Forum Banner Contest.

I want to thank everyone for their participation in this contest. We had twelve excellent entries from some very talented artists. There were many popular banners, and choosing a winner was difficult. Also, your spirit of helping each other throughout these contests makes me proud to be a JCer!

 

No offense to whoever judged the thing, but that thing is pretty ugly.

Would it be at all possible to move the image (greeta?) that's just peeking over the edge of my screen (1024x768) a tad to the right? It looks funny to only have part of it show.

Personally, not to insult you, or your game, I don't think hosting a game on the JC entitles one to become a "Very Important Person".

But now you have earned it, and I congratulate you for it.

 

Well for the record, the VIP status for hosting the game is only for the duration of the game and then it goes away.

As for the congrats, thanks a lot!

It is obvious that this was a very hard competition to judge and there were a great many entires that were of excellent quality.

I do want to go on record saying that in my opinion there were one or two banners that were more deserving of the win. Of course, it isn't my call to make and you can't please everyone but I do feel somewhat dissapointed in this decision.

So Congratulations Strilo for the win. Please don't take offense with my comments, I am only giving my opinion. I have nothing against you nor your banner, and it was right up there but I do feel there others who were more deserving.

I can only hope that my banner is one that the users of the forum would like to see every day. That was my goal and the reason I decided to try my hand at a banner. I wanted someone who knew all about the music forum to make a banner. That being said, thanks Wenley for your comments. I actually agree. I think slavegirl's banner was the best...

That is my opinion and I am entitled to my opinion.

I freely admit that yes, I am biased for my banner. However, the one or two banners I had in mind didn't include mine. Yes, I am fond of the banner but I am not as neersighted as to think that it was the best.

 

While I'm sure every banner maker is biased, we still can express our opinion (keeping the bias in mind).

I think strilo made a very good banner, but I was surprised at the results. (And I didn't have my own banner in mind).
