    Hi Everyone

Anyone else attend the symphony at the Superdome fri nite/mothers day?

They performed the throne room and end titles music.. it was fantastic.. complete with lasers and lighting that made the music really fill the cavernous superdome as though it was washing over you in a storm.. truly awe inspiring..

Great stuff... hope they do it again.

    Anyone else have any comments?

    Hi!

    I can't say I was there. Well, I could, but I'd be lying... :p
Sounds like it was pretty darn cool though.

    Anyway, welcome!

I was there. Absolutely brilliant! Beautiful in every way possible. The Throne Room was pretty much the reason I wanted to go in the first place. My only gripe was that the tempo was a little slower than I'm used to - other than that, I loved the extended moments before the End Credits section of the cue kicked in.

The 1812 Overture conclusion was also great. The cannons nearly shattered my ear drums!

    :p :D

EDIT - hokanu, where were you sitting? I was at top row to the very right of the stage overlooking it all. I think my seat number was 318.

    jamesdrax:

Hey dude.. I forget my seat number.. im at work now so I cant check but I was in the 2nd tear.. 3 rows from the front, facing to the orchestra straight on but to the left.

It was great huh.. I loved it all.. I got my tickets without realising they would play star wars music.. what a bonus! How long did the piece go for? I was so into it I couldnt tell if it was 5 or 20 minutes?

The canons yes! The first time I nearly jumped out of my skin even though I was expecting them at some stage.

I'll be on the lookout for a reprise.

    Now onto AOTC!
