[IMG]Hello! My family has just joined this forum to spread around an idea some San Francisco kids (yes, including my kids) have come up with. You know the Yoda statue at Lucasfilm in the San Francisco Presidio? Nearby is a beautiful building we all call the Jedi Temple, even though it looks more like the elegant castles on Naboo. It's called the Palace of Fine Arts. We have now made a website on Tumblr with the map and pictures.

On October 27, the Sunday afternoon before Halloween, we're all heading over there in our costumes so everybody can run around with light sabers (there's a big grassy forested area between the Palace and the Yoda statue) and have fun in our Star Wars costumes with likeminded humanoids of the galaxy. We have a number of confirmed costumed people, including a lil' Anakin, a lil' Dagobah Luke (and Yoda), a Hoth Leia, an Obi-Wan and a couple of stormtroopers. Come on out at 2 p.m. on 10/27 and let's have a Star Wars costume promenade. You can park for free at Crissy Field, the beach across from the Palace of Fine Arts. Then meet up at the beautiful alien lagoon at the Palace and we'll slowly make our way to Yoda to pay our respects. It's about a half-mile walk on easy, flat trails and the weather should be the usual gorgeous and dramatic San Francisco weather at the Golden Gate: some sun, some fog, some wind.
