Calgary SW quotes by my 3 year old...

My 3 year old daughter has started to get into SW. Here are some funnies. If you have anything similar please add...

Today we are all having lunch. My 7 year old daughter (Amity, yes after Amity Island from Jaws)was saying she would rather be Princess Leia than The Princess Bride, because the Princess Bride is not strong without her Wesley (hero, but Leia can stand up for herself). I agreed that leis was a good role model, and asked my daughter what is the biggest thing that Leia stands up for.
The conversation went like this:

Amity: She stands up for herself.
Me: No, something bigger.
A: Her frinds.
D: Bigger.
A: Others.
D: Bigger.
A: Everyone.
D: Bigger.
A: The World.
D: Bigger.
A: The Force.
D: Bigger.
A: I don't know.
D: She stands up for what is right, what is good.

At which point my 3 year old says...'Yeah, and she sits down for what is bad.

I had my FX lightsaber out and we had a bee in the house, she says 'Daddy, are you gonna lightsaber the bee?

I was quoting a song (the love song from Karate Kid 2) toAmity (7), as she loves the idea of knights and castles. Roxie (3) came in with perfect timing with the last line...it went like this.

Like a night in shining armour
From a long time ago
Just in time I will save the day
In a galaxy far far away

(amazing for a 3 year old.)

My wife was making lunch and asked Roxie if she wanted 'some of this ciabatta', she said she did.
Ten minutes later Roxie says, 'i love chewbatta. There are 2 chewbattas, chewbatta bread and chewbatta in Star Wars.'

About Star Wars she said ...'If only the baddies were goodies

discussing which is our favourite film Roxie says ...'I like 'Go Stripes Back' (Empire Strikes Back)

here's another one I remembered ...

We were leaving home on a wet day...my wife told the kids to put their jackets on to ' be on the safe side'....Roxie said...'it's better than being on the dark side.'
