Now people are getting their Qui-Gon emails.

 

Yup, according to my email, QGJ will be arriving at the warehouse in 20-25 days.

Well, I ordered my first 12 incher. The very last Anakin in stock - should get it by Friday. Though now I want Obi-Wan too!

 

Excited to be getting Qui-Gon soon, but that makes it back to back to back to back shipments. My credit card is already crying...

Alas! I'll manage!

 

Ugh I'm glad that I didn't want Qui-Gon, otherwise he would've been a 3rd figure I would have had to cancel - $400 electric bills in August in AZ are killer

What's with all of them coming at once??? That only leaves, what Maul for the rest of the year now? I thought they said that the ROTJ figures will be ready early 2007, right? Having all of the 12" guys coming now makes the rest of the year a let down.

Oh well - gives me time to budget for other things.

 

I'm getting nervous about Maul, too. Man, I already have the DVD box set preorderd, and Maul preorderd, and I want to order the Count Dooku character key.

 

I'm in the same boat: $646 electric bill for here in Southern California.

From what I understand, barring any issues, Maul will be shipping in October. Then we have Bib Fortuna shipping either November or December, and that's it for 2006. Jabba, his Throne, and Boushh will all be shipping in January 2007.

 

$646?! woah. And I thought mine was bad here in Florida.

I'm glad I didn't pre-order these. I mean I would've put aside the money, but you never know if something will come up. I'm getting Qui-Gon, Mace, and Maul through a site like Northside or Razorsedge. They both have enough in stock so they'll be around long enough for me to get them all without worrying about selling out.

 

While some of the Exclusives are take it or leave it, I had to have Qui-gon's Poncho, Grievous' Blaster (Obi-wan), and Jango's helmet (Mace).

 

Ah, you weenies. When I was poor in Bakersfield I absolutely refused to run the AC and I survived just fine.

 

I guess I'm luckey. Cool summers in Washington = cheep summer power bills. So as long as Obi-Wan arrives before the winter heating bills everything should be A-OK!

 

I know! Washington summers are nice (and cheap). My last power bill was $110 for two months.

Congrats to everyone getting their Qui-Gon. My daughter is totally looking forward to getting hers.

Now, I just have to do my best not to dive into the 12" line.

 

Down here our energy bills/woes are the exact opposite of everyone elses - during winter we rarely have to turn on the heater - so I don't have to usually stress out too much about my finances during the winter holidays, which I like July-Sept tend to be nightmare months though.

So who do we think the next Jedi Order character will be? Yoda? Ki Adi Mundi?

 

After Sideshow revealed Jabba, it became clear that all the OT figures were made to be displayed together (Jedi Luke, Bespin Han w/o his jacket). Then we have Anakin to pose with Obi-wan, and Qui-gon to pose with Maul. That leaves Mace and Kit kinda hanging in the wind. The only time they'd fit together would be for the attempted arrest of Palpatine.

I'm hoping that's where they're going and that Saesse Tiin, Agen Kolar, and a Palpatine are coming soon.

 

So what does everyone think of the new Padme Snow-Bunny preview sculpt? In case you haven't seen it yet, this is what I'm talking about.

I think it's looking pretty good, can't wait to see what the painted prototype looks like.

They could use that head sculpt for a V For Vendetta figure. Just add paint.

 

The Padme sculpt looks very nice. I hope she ends up looking a bit 'softer' once finished (i.e. in color) because she looks a teenie bit stern to me as is. Still, I'll be ordering her.

I just got my Han shipping notice.. it will be here Thursday. The flood gates have now opened.
