SW vs. LOTR *Characters*

So, umm... yeah. I think the title is pretty self-explanatory. "Who'd win in a fight between ::insert SW character here:: and ::insert LOTR character her::

Just for fun, y'know? Since we ALL need to drop the intellectualizing and just mess around every now and then.

...Oh, just one minor thought/suggestion: Perhaps it'd be for the best to NOT ALWAYS play the "Lightsaber card" and assume a "technologically-even field if it can be helped? I mean, I'm sure just about everyone can agree that basic logic dictates that a white-hot concentrated energy beam would cut through ANY of the metal or wood weapons employed in the LOTR films, but really, where's the FUN in that?

For example: A fight between, say, Obi-Wan and Aragorn is over before it started with a saber involved... but "absoloutes" removed it becomes more about a Western medieval swordfighting style vs. a more Easternized "samurai" technique; to my mind a more interesting scenario to explore

I'll start (all imo, of course):

Darth Maul vs. Legolas: (assuming equality or near-equality of weaponry)
WINNER: Legolas.
REASONING: Both are posessed of a certain skill with some variety of the martial-arts, but Maul's style (what we see of it) is decidedly ground based, putting him at a disadvantage against an opponent proficient at high-jump moves. Indeed, we see him thrown fatally off-gaurd when an opponent jumps OVER him, a feat Legolas is evidently capable of (in TTT, he jump-mounts a running horse, a creature that is most-likely as high or higher in stature than is Ray Park.)
