SWC Galactic Senate Game

With no disrespect to the Senator of Nar Shadaa, that planet is filled with crime lords, scum, and Bounty Hunters. Action must be taken to ensure safety among the people who live there. The Republic must pay more attention to that world and rid of these thugs.

 

Not every Hutt is a Criminal. That is a generalazation, and Racist comment.

 

I would rather keep every criminal in prison than let them roam free, and I certainly beleive that even though criminals have rights that there rights are far more stricked than an average citizen whom does not commit any crimes, and in my own opinion every criminal is an enemy of the republic and enemys should be treated fairly harshly.

 

These deals are the best way to gain valuble information to result in the capture of the corupt former senators, they are the most dangerous criminals. No matter how many terrorist we capture, the leaders will continue to recruit members to thier cause. That is why they are the highest priority.

 

Motion 12-24-05

Voting Ends 12.26.05 6:42 p.m.

Whereas the Authority given to the Republic from Motion 12-11-Cathy has resulted in the capture of several terrorist.

Whereas the cells are still run by former Republic Senators.

Motion 12-24-05 will give the Galactic General Attorney the ability to shorten sentences of those caught terrorists in exchange for information on the whereabouts of the Leaders of the Cells.

If the said criminals in custody cooperate their sentences will be shortened and carried out in a maximum security Galactic Prison Facility, but life sentences and capital punishment will not be handed out.

Upon release of the incarcerated felons, they will be on probation and kept under the watchful eye of the RIA indefinitely.

Motion 12-24-05 will assure the capture of the leaders of the cells and result in the crumble of the terror organization.

That was not intended to be racist. It was easier to generalise than to say every Hutt into crime by name.


I strongly disagree with the motion that has just passed also. It is practically letting even the most hardened criminals away with just a slap on the wrist, just because they say a few names. I strongly urge you my fellow Senators to rethink on this one. Would you want any of your planets worst criminals back on your streets quicker just because they said a few names? And do you really think probation will stop them from their criminal ways?

 

Good point, and we only have 2 more days before the month long break, so I suggest a bill veto or motion.

Thank you!, Criminals in the prisons also may not contain any info. for they have been away from any of there sources for so long. I really think it would be best to search out any and all criminals in systems like Nar Shaddaa and interrogate them and then stick them in a holding facility to go on trail and if convicted sent to prison. That way your getting the information you want and cleaning up the scum on many systems.

 

My fellow Senators, information does not come free of charge. You have to pay for it. If lessening the sentence of one criminal helps stop countless others, is that not a worthwhile trade-off? You cannot except a criminal to turn in other criminals and get NOTHING in return

Though I was not here for the vote, I must agree. If it has opposition then those opposing it should draft a new motion.
