I'm happy at least I took the champ to teams in my rookie draft, can't wait for the next one. I like the paired picks idea for the record.

Truth. Of course, this is the only Draft I'm addicted to...but still.

i like the idea of the paired picks... i kind of think that some of the more obvious ones would probably have to be kol/wolf, ganner/what's his name..., lumi/bariss, and whatever that trump that TLI put together a couple drafts ago was. people that we've seen trumped together for... literally drafts in a row at this point. i think, however, that having just a list of people that could be paired together... i'm mildly iffy on that, because just tossing in a bunch of people that don't make sense together just doesn't make sense to me. maybe sort it by era, or something like that, but in the comics draft it's not like there's just this list that people get picked from. it's a bunch of teams, or groups, that have had multiple members that you can put together in a way that makes sense to you, or gives you what you want off of that list ability/talent wise. so other than those very obvious pairings that we have, what groups do we separate things into? how do we make those divisions? what's the talent level that we actually consider putting people in those lists?

 

Congratulations to PG. And to all the other GM's , Judges and Commissioner. It was a lot of fun.

i would have thought a solo/ tahiri would be better.

 

I don't think Kit Fisto would need to be paired, because he's about a mid-tier level, but if he were to be paired, Aayla Secura would be a better choice. So I'd pair Ki-Adi-Mundi with Plo Koon and Saesee Tiin with Agen Kolar. In fact, all the PT Jedi should be paired together, besides Shaak Ti and Kit Fisto.

 

I think we'd also want to try and avoid pairing up any two people where one had a career or lifespan that far outstripped the other, or where their paths spent more time apart than onscreen together. Ideally, there should be a clear reason for them to be a pair rather than just two loosely-connected middling picks fused together so they're not quite as mediocre as they would be individually.

That's what trumps are for.

It's a tad surprising seeing Anakin Solo's name being thrown into the paired picked ring. I'd personally consider him to be too good to get a free pick to go along with him. Tahiri/Ikrit, though...

Wolf Sazen/Shado Vao seems like another good one. Also, given the events of the last season of Clone Wars, would Lumi and Barriss really be all that cohesive of a pairing anymore?

 

I debated whether or not Anakin Solo was too much to have an auto-trump. Which is why I went with Ikrit over Tahiri, since Anakin/Tahiri as a free trump is too much value. I could see it going Tahiri/Ikrit, though, with the triple available for a single forfeit being a nice option.

I don't see a Lumi/Barriss pariing to be all that lacking in cohesion. Taking peak and all that, you kind of take relationship peak into it. At least I do, for this draft. Kind of like, if you paired Anakin and Obi-Wan, they wouldn't have terrible cohesion, it'd be fantastic. Even though you could argue that in the back of his mind, all Obi-Wan can see is a man he can trust who will force choke his pregnant wife.

For Prequel Era Jedi who don't have much in the good department, it might be worthwhile to list them together and give the GM the option to pick whatever two they want.

 

That's a good idea actually. With having a separate section for Prequel Era Jedi and it's up to you what two you choose to pair together.

So that would probably include Ki-Adi-Mundi, Plo Koon, Aayla Secura, Luminara Unduli, Barriss Offee, Saesee Tiin, Agen Kolar, Eeth Koth, Adi Gallia, Depa Billaba, Even Piell, Oppo Rancisis, Yaddle, Yarael Poof, Coleman Trebor, Stass Allie, Pablo-Jill, Bultar Swan, Cin Drallig, Tsui Choi, Sora Bulq, Nahdar Vebb, Ima-Gun Di, Roron Corobb, Foul Moudama, Voolvif Monn, Jocasta Nu, Tera Sinube and Zett Jukassa.

And the ones that wouldn't be in that list would probably include Shaak Ti, Kit Fisto, Quinlan Vos, K'Kruhk and Ahsoka Tano.

That's just my opinion anyway. You could just include all of them, but I feel like the ones that I wouldn't include would be equal or above any of the others if they were in a pair. Maybe not Ahsoka, but she's got a lot of feats to put her above most of them.
