My fellow Senator. I certainly do not mean to threaten his life. I merely suggest he show some respect for the opinions of his peers. I only mean the sake of our opinions of him.

 

*Centre Pod rises and Chancellor Furio rises from his seat in simple black robes. He whispers to the female Twi'lek and winks at her with a smile.*

Thank You Senators for this wonderful opportunity. As we can see from the latest comments from our senators, there is still unrest among the systems. As satisfying as it may be to banish the Hutts from here, we can not do so. They were voted in legally despite their past history, and so democracy must prevail. However, let it be known from this moment to the moment another chancellor is elected, I will not tolerate disrespect here.

We will make INFORMED decisions together and consider every angle of every situation. We will vote with this in mind. We will not back down from outside threats and we will certainly not allow the past bureaucracy to plague us again. I would like to continue in the firm and fair fashion in which senator TheSilentInfluence led us in. We are an open and free society that faces challenges together and respects all beings and their opinions. Thank You.
