OOC: There is a conflict in the rules.

The State of the Galaxy

The Chancellor will hold office for 30-days. Initially, the Chancellor will be selected by the mods. Subsequently, the Chancellor will be elected in accordance with the SWC Senate Constitution. After the election, the Vice-Chancellor and Speaker positions will be filled by the Chancellor. At least one of those positions, must be filled by a member of one of the opposition parties. The Chancellor may not serve more 1 term consecutively.

OOC: We are going with the two term rule thats in the SWC Constitution, rather than what is in the State of the Galaxy. So you are eligible to run again.

IC: Now that we have established my candidiate status, I urge the Senate to discuss my thoughts on expanding the military budget to protect ourselves during this time of turmoil.

Also, I have another topic to discuss which as also come to my attention. An interview with the Muun banker that was saved during his hostage taking has opened up about what was discussed during that secret meeting. It seems that a rogue faction within the banking clan has been funneling a great amount of credits into accounts that have been associated with the criminal syndicate known as the Legion of Amaxine.

I agree that an investigation must be started. But the investigation must be conducted by an independant investigative entity not tied to politics or to this Senate.

I've instructed my assistant to hire more security for the time being. I suggest others do the same.

At this point, it sounds, to me, like a question for the local police to check out. I suggest we turn any evidence we have over to them so that a full investigation can be conducted.

I apologize for my absence senators, I had to go to the hospital to get my stomach pumped after someone poisoned the all the water in my office. Yup you heard that right, all of the water. Even in my aquarium. My poor fishies are no more.
