My, my how far we have fallen senators. As I am still Chancellor I would like to point out that Senator Nehru_Amidala in fact did accept the nomination and it was seconded by myself.

Also, let us not lose sight of where this Hutt came from. His inclusion was already a point of contention and until any and all investigations are completed, I believe there can be no way we can elect such a being who laughs in our faces while spewing mistruths and falsehoods. I was attacked and my Cor-Sec Specs Ops teams has determined that the would be assassins were based out of Tatooine, a known Hutt stronghold. Now you may say that this is circumstantial, yes, but what isn't, is that these assassins had a large sum of credits transfered to them from the Muun bankers that were killed in the recent hostage situation. If you all recall what we learned then, was that this so called senator that slithers before us, was implicated in that attack as well. There is no smoking gun per se, but how many coincedences must we see before we acknowledge the ligitimacy of this so called candidate!

 

That is a shame my lady. I believe you would have been a strong Chancellor

I did see that Nehru_Amidala accepted the nomination. With Lady Belligerent bowing out we have one nominee. So, if there's no objection, let's start this puppy. Since there's only one nominee, I'll simply ask, are there any objections to electing her by acclamation?
