San Diego, CA SWC2 Report with PIX!

Well, all I can say is, if you missed the Celebration...you missed some AWESOME things!

We had around 200 501st members marching around the Con and doing Door Security.

Very cool pics Jeff! I probably won't have mine up till Saturday or so. I'll post an in-depth report on this thread tomorrow. Right now... meesa gettin' berry berry sleepy.

 

On a slightly unrelated note...how does one go about joining the 501st?

 

Well, I guess since this is my thread, I won't piss off anyone if I highjack it

To join the 501st, you need to own a professional quality looking Imperial costume- Stormtrooper, Scout Trooper, Snowtrooper, TIE Pilot, Royal Guard, Imperial Officer, Darth Vader, and we also allow Bounty Hunters.

Once you have your costume, 2 pictures need to be sent in along with your application, one full body shot and another with helmet off. You also need to send a few ID numbers you wish to have, many numbers are taken, we hit the 1,000 member mark recently

Considering recent problems with the Studios, the best thing to do to find armor is to hang out with your local Garrison for a few events and help out. We're cautious about giving up our sources and need to trust our members.

I am planning to get stormtrooper armor sometime before the end of this year. I guess that gives me a while to think about what number I want to have.
