I know they use 'hell' and 'damn', but that's all I've seen in the movies. I've never read the books so...:(

"Stang" is an Alderaanian swear word...
I've seen "Fragg" or "Frakk" used...
I used "son of a bantha" in my fic...

It really bugs me when people use a variant of "Sith" as an expletive. Somebody once made the point (this is on another contemporary thread, so if the author sees this, I'm sorry I can't remember which one of you made the point originally) of "The Sith were an ancient sect of evil, violent heretics. When was the last time you stubbed your toe and screamed, 'O, Gnostic!'?"

When was the last time you called someone you don't like a satanist or a Nazi or a dictator or a communist or any other name with negative connotations in history? I can quite happily understand Sith being handed down through Basic over the millenia as a bad word.

Anyways, I also read in a book where one space captain seemed to like using the word "festering".

If you want, you can go check out the KAJSU website. I have a list of them up under "Miscellaneous". I have to update the list, 'cause I tracked down a couple more.

anakin_skywalker_sct- I've never called anyone a satanist or a Nazi. That would be kinda disturbing... I'd suggest therapy for anyone who called me that.

Hmmmmm. Interesting. The only ones i've heard are. . . . . for example :)

    Get in the sithdamned speeder.

Who in the seven sithhells do you think you are? and

Get that little sithspawn out of my face.

Also heard sithballs used once, lol. Thought that was too funny to use as a swear word though :D

How would a character from SW say something mild like, "Screw this, I'm leaving!" or something better than that (I just can't think of anything)?

In the book "Traitor," the narrator is describing what's going on inside Ganner's head, and he said something like "Sick of being a crappy Jedi." No one was actually saying that, the narrator was. Also, in my fanfilm I coined the terms "Son of a Sith" and "Bantha Poop." Note also Poodoo does NOT mean poop, it means Fodder. Read the Subtitles when Sebulba is talking.

I like to live dageriously by useing real swear words, but replaceing or adding one letter so that it's SPELLED different, but SOUNDS similar.

    *****!
    ****!

    etc...

Also damn and hell are of course ok, as they are both used by Solo during the movies, and by extrapliation I suppose ***damn would also be ok, and if anyone gives you that 'but that's an Earth swear!' crap just say that the concept of hell is from Earth too. Also '*******' was used in Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, so that's cool too.

Gutter_Monkey, I think most likely a fic containing words such as those, would be terminated and the author warned - or even banned in some cases. It was my impression that JC doesn't tolerate words that even imply swearing. Naturally, examples such as "Sith" and "The Emperor's black bones? are the exception, as they sanction themselves to the SW galaxy.

Also, generally, if you did try to submit that piece of fanfiction anywhere, you'd be rejected based on the likeness of certain words/phrases to Earth "chit-chat".

Just my opinion on things. Thanks for creating this thread :) It recently aided a friend of mine.
