hey guys. I have this .swf file i am exporting from AfterEffect 5.5, can you include an alpha channel equivilant in it? Just so it leaves the transparent parts in my comp transparent when it is viewed in internet expolorer?

    thanks

Y'know, it SAYS you can have an alpha channel, but I never got the darn thing to work.

    Maybe this will help you!

What I generally do is the sophomoric and silly method of doing the animation against a "blue screen" and keying it out. It actually works well (honest!)... I'm doing animations for a short film called 'Handbook to Casual Stalking' and it is working perfectly. God bless Flash's beautiful vectors.

EDIT: Wait... export a SWF from After Effects, not Flash? I'm not familiar with After Effects, can't help ya... but hope you find a solution.

    Rick McCallum loves you!

What exactly are you using the .swf for?

I think the short answer is no. However, if it's embedded in an HTML file, there's a <param> tag you can add that will make the background of the .swf transparent.

You were given a link to it earlier, but it only works on Internet Explorer and the later Netscape version (7.x)
