Octa Ramis never knew anyone could look so fantastic! Kyp Durron working out - the steady rhythm of his movements. He gave her a fleeting glance - all too casual.

You can't fool me, Durron. She thought, the rapid beat of her pulses falling back to something approaching normal.

The way his muscles rippled ...

She had always gravitated to Kyp during the Council meetings. He never hid his true feelings about anything, and his points were always a fresh approach, not the still-broke methods that were leading nowhere.

He asked her for caf once or twice, said good-bye with a shrug, as if daring her to ask him out for an official date.

Octa wouldn't give himt he satisfaction of knowing how far under her skin he had gotten.

Until he was injured and she fretted and dogged the med-ward for updates on his condition.

When Kyp emerged from the bacta, Octa fumed: "Don't do that to me, again!"

"To you? I was the one who ..."

She fell into those fathomless green eyes and whispered: "Hush up, won't you."

He gaped at her, surprised.

She kissed him then, and the potency of which knocked the ground out from under both their feet.

Yes, this was definitely the start of something promising.

Very cute! I've never heard of Octa before, but she sounds like she could be good for Kyp.

 

Hmm, I hadn't thought of these two together before. Interesting... Nice job with this, it's so sweet! I like the mix of refusing to admit to her feelings, and then finally caving when the worst almost happens. Aww!
