Cincin, OH Swing Time Big Band

Hey all,

Next weekend I'm not going to be able to make next week's meeting. . . why? well I promised Becky I'd head down to see the Swing Time big band at York St. Cafe in Newport.

I've been down there this past spring and it was a blast!

 

I've GOT to start checking this more often!!! I LOVE swing music and I was down on the levie anyway!

 

They are actually down there pretty often, I think the next time is like the 21st or so of october . .

It was great and would be really neat if we could get more people down there

 

Is it kid friendly at all? For the bands, anyway.

 

It seemed fine, the issue is that it is technically at a bar, now we wern't carded as we came in (we were at the bar)

the main ages of the clientel, were on average. . . about 45 or 50, and I'm adding in my group of youngv 20 somethings in there on that. . . which brings the average down to that. . .

 

Hey marmijade? Would you mind PMing me next time you guys go out to the Swing Band place? Directions, name of venue, time... those kinds of things. I think we've finally found someone to watch the rugrats for a night out! woot!

looks like we are going down again this saturday.

York Street Cafe, I believe that they start around 7:30 ish, if I remember correctly there is a cover charge . . . at most it was 8$. . . at most.
