Lit Sword of the Jedi by Christie Golden

All we know so far...

-- This is a Jaina centric trilogy.

-- Ben, Allana, Jag & Tahiri will appear in big roles.

-- There will be three books.

-- Post FOTJ.

-- Golden's the writer.

-- It will come out in 2014.

To be fair, we only know that it is meant to come out in 2014 provided nothing changes.

I wonder if Anji will make some appearance.

To me, it was critical that the name Jade would stay a part of her name. Mara Skywalker does not sound right

It is a fair guess, that Anji will be included it was Golden that added the pet but Denning that named her. It seems like the authors gravitate to their own corner of the galaxy. Allston has Wraith Squadron and a bunch of new Jedi. Denning has the barabels and the Star by Star survivors. Golden hasn't established her sector, but it is a fair guess that Jaina will be a major part of it.

Vestara is in Golden's sector, isn't she?

When I first read TTT I actually thought it 'Mara Jade' was her first name for some reason, like Sue-Ellen or something.

As are the guys with those glowing red toothpicks on the cover. Including the new Darth Traya of course.

I wonder if this set of novels will have Jag become Emperor. I think that could be cool if Vitor is killed by Lost Tribe Sith or One Sith Lady Khai. You know Golden will have Vestara in it.

Vestara will probably appear. I, for one, do not want Jag as the Emperor. I would rather see him as second fiddle to Jaina as it should be. Can't we have Jag and Jaina just running around cutting up and shooting stuff without politics involved?

He could still be second fiddle. Jaina could play kingmaker and make him Emperor by lightsaber.

Jag will probably be Emperor by the time this trilogy starts.

If it was Denning writing it then yes he would be Emperor but since he isn't we are safe for this I think unless it happens in the last two books

Jag left the Empire at the end of FOTJ.

In the final Novel of FOTJ he holds an election for Imperail Head of State. It is between himself, Daala, and Vitor Reige. Due to some problem with public opinion, Jag and Daala weren't elected. So Vitor became Head of State.

Jag will become the Santa Anna of the Empire it seems.

I still have the conspiracy that they didn't want Jaina being married to the new Emperor because explaining why the Solo's child is married to the head of the state of the state they helped topple... to new viewers in the ST is a bit much. They might have to retcon Legacy into the Fel Dynasty setting in with a later Fel child rather than Jag himself. Perhaps Jag JR.

Would be neat if this is the novel where we get to see hints of things to come in the Legacy comics.

Just when did Jag become Emperor Fel anyway?

I think the Legacy comics will be pushed back in a manner of prepping for ST. That being said it was mentioned that Jag Fel was the first Emperor of the New Empire. He gets a super Star Destoryer named after him. He still hasn't been established as the Emperor within the books however being the Head of State of the Empire kind of lead in that direction but I could see them going in a different direction, at least until the ST is over. Jag's character is too good to be constrained to pilot. Let him be the hard headed but duty bound pilot turned bounty hunter with political ties that is married to a Jedi Master as opposed to making Jaina the Jedi Master that is married to the New Emperor

There's been quite a bit news on some upcoming books lately so let's hope there's some news on this also!

I wonder if this was made and announced with the fact that Episode VII was incoming.
