Unless Christie Golden signed a really poor (and unusual) contract, if the book is cancelled by the publisher and it's not "for cause" (unpublishable, as Dagu was implied to be), she'll still get paid (and thus her agent too). Not as much as if it actually came out, but nothing to sneeze at either.

 

More about? I don't know, but I do really want to get the Essential Characters. If just for a fully-body picture of Ben Skywalker and (hopefully) a canonical non-ghost representation of Meetra Surik.

There's so much activity on this thread yet the Essential Characters thread has ZERO activity.

 

Well, there isn't news there, and there's nothing to speculate about except who might get a picture.

 

Everyone go to the Star Wars Books Facebook page and spam the page with Sword of the Jedi requests.

There's zero activity because it was to come out last October and didn't.

 

You mean a Douglas Wheatley project was delayed by two years? Shocker!

 

Couldn't the same be said of SOTJ?

 

In other words we have nothing. No info on SOTJ or the Essential Chronology or anything because the Disney deal is going to change the direction from the current way the EU is going. Is this what I'm getting at here? San Diego Comic Con is a bust then. Could they be waiting for next week?

 

Well, what about Dark Horse comics? Anything on their plate yet? And what's this Phenides whatever Star Wars crossover crap? Is this part of the Rebels series coming out next year or what?

 

Phineas and Ferb, the best Disney cartoon ever? I'm actually looking forward to it in a backwards, somewhat-scared way.

 

It's just disney beginning to integrate Star Wars with the Disneyverse.

 

Won't work, they get loads of those anyway. They generally go unanswered but I saw one dude who REALLY spammed the page about it get a comment to the effect of, "yes, yes, we can hear you, well done for being so tenacious, but we're not gonna say anything just cus you asked a gabillion times."
