Characters SW's Green-eyed Hot Dudes Talk & Drool Corner! [First Challenge] 10-03-2010!

Or, how about a background challenge? All these characters have/had family.
Jag, for instance -- hardly anyone writes about his family. The same goes for Kyp and Zekk. Actually, the same goes for all these characters.
What could their lives have been like as children? Before THE EVENT. tongue As in, before they started being shaped into who they are in canon today.

Love that idea. The character's past is so important to who he is as an adult.

Another topic/idea could be to write a missing scene from or in-between the books.

 

One of my favorite parts of the EU.

The lack of background makes them so much fun to write because you can do alot and still be in canon technically. This is a great way to have fun with the characters.

 

How's about a challenge of the three interacting in some way, like lunch, but none of them are romantically involved with Jaina?

 

Oooh, I love this! I sense snark and fun and laughter.
Sort of like the new fab four in your Star Trek crossover. Just thinking about that story makes me smile.

 

That's a fun idea, but it seems to specific to particular characters. It leaves out Cade. Or do you mean a general gathering of the particular characters in the thread?

That would definitely be a fun story to read, though.

 

How about if the challenge requires at least two of the four?

 

Cade can always have lunch with Jag's descendants. 'course, that usually involves lightsabers being drawn if Marasiah Fel's hot-headed boy toy is around. He and Cade get along SO well.

 

Time travel. Cade runs afoul of a Delorean while listening to Huey Lewis and the News.

I actually have two already started; one includes 3 of them, the other 2. Now, if I can only figure out how to get myself out of the hole I've written myself into, I could actually finish them.

Time travel is always a fun little adventure to get into. So many possibilities.

Ceil and I discussed it and to keep it simple LOL and to focus on a seldom-seen character, we decided to focus on Zekk first off.

Timeframe: Any

Genre: Missing scene or totally AU

Parameters for fic length: Drabble size (100 words) on up
For content: We wanted to give him some happy moments; they can be friendship or romance-centered.

Others like Kyp and Jag can be included if the story draws them in

For those who feel able and drawn to a "background" challenge, this can be incorporated as a flashback, perhaps.



Deadline: 4 weeks or until November 1st. This is the deadline for the first post of a multi-chaptered fic; the second chapter onward can of course be posted any time during or after that time elapses.

I propose another challenge.

As much as most of us love mush now and again, I think it's time for a challenge that doesn't involve a woman.

I know, I know...have I lost my mind?

Not so much.

Ask yourself this: what draws you to this character?

Personally -- it's the no bull attitudes most of these guys have.

So this is my challenge for whoever wants to participate:

Write a story, any length, about your favorite green-eyed character where we get to see his bad ass attitude.
