SWTCG: Deck and Article Contest

Win a 11-card booster display of the Sith Rising expansion!
Do you have a Star Wars Trading Card Game deck that almost always wins? Do you have a particular strategy that gives you an advantage over your opponent? Do you want to share your decks and strategy ideas with others? How would you like to have an entire box of the latest SWTCG expansion, Sith Rising?

TF.N is currently accepting deck and article submissions for the TCG page in an effort to promote sharing best decks and strategy with SWTCG players around the world.

In an effort to encourage submissions as well as give you a chance to win something for your hard work, we are announcing a Deck and Article contest.

The contest period is from August 26th-September 16th. All Decks and articles submitted during that time will entered into the contest. A panel of non-participating judges will choose one winning Deck and one winning Strategy Article, which will each receive a Sith Rising booster display of Star Wars TCG (contains 36 11-card packs). All entries will be eligible to be posted on the TCG page at the discretion of TheForce.Net.

wait, hold on, I don't FULLY understand this. do we just describe our strategy? list our decks? what exactly do we do??

 

Are we just to list the names of the cards in our deck in the email?? this is a great idea but doesn't make sense.

 

It is just a basic deck and article contest.

If you have a Deck, send it in with all cards listed logically and a description of how it works, etc. For instance, why are there so many clones/droids/Maul's? Is card X in there to retrieve card Y so that Card Z will be able to do something special? Do you concentrate in one arena with a certain kind of unit?

For articles, well they should be articles that describe a certain strategy that you found effective, maybe one that exploits the rules to your advantage. If you have one, you know what it is. All you need to do is write it down in an easy to understand manner.

There are three weeks to put something together. In this time, I will be posting examples of decks and articles I am writing so you can see what I mean. I can't promise when, but you should see it soon.

I typed up my decks last night and will write my strategy this weekend.

I haven't really added up all the numbers yet, but I don't know yet if that info will be revealed.

What's up with the contest? we haven't heard anything all week. not even a "just a little longer".

If it was 'promised' on monday i'd expect to see some resultson monday

 

Things come up, people have work and real lives. The results will come, be patient.

 

Sorry. We are almost there. I said "soon" on the second commit because I did not want to say another specific day and miss it again.
In the bigger scheme of things, it is still "soon", and it has only been 6 days since the missed deadline, and I have seen other sites' contests miss the deadline by months. It won't be that long of course!
I want to be able, along with the judges, to make the right decision, even if it takes a few days longer.
I would guess a few days more at the most.
