I got my roommate and boyfriend really into this game too.

Uh they've been here a while Ben....

 

It looked like there was a need for females around here. I love to play!

 

I've taught one of my best friends to play, and she's a girl. She's real sweet, but kind of a square, and had never played any kind of card game like the TCG before. (UNO was about as complicated as she got)

Funny thing is, she's never seen any of the original SW films before, and dosn't even know what happens in them, so we are using her as a lab rat and showing her the films in their episode order (She's seen ep.s I and II). We've been playing the game for about four months now, and not only is she getting real good at it, she's also learning a lot about the movies she's seen so far. We re-watched ep. I the other day and she kept pointing out all the ships and characters she knows the names of now.

 

Heh I have a similar story. I got my roommate into it and shes never seen the movies all the way through (claims she dosen't like them). She generally knows the characters. I told her before long she will walk in and see the movie on and say hey thats a Nexu and Reek! Or something along those lines. I'll have her naming everything before long thats waht the TCG helps you with and she loves the game.

 

I do the same thing with naming the ships. It also helps in SW Trivial Pursuit when they end up making an Ep2 version. Everyone will wonder how you know this stuff!

 

Yea i agree, cards give me the right names for everyone, i remember once i was watchin ep 2 with some guys and i pointed out Elan, and my friends were like, man your obsessed!
