Am I not allowed to defend my good name? My rebuttal has removed but the initial offense, you know the posts calling me "high" and the one about "never waking up again"are still up.

Another Thing guys, The trailer is 88 seconds long. Some of my interpretations may be far out there, I'm admit I'm clutching at straws, but too may coincidences are lining up.

. Anyone what to try to discern those TOPPS card numbers?

Here's an analysis I found of the Topps numbers. And here are some thoughts of my own...

67 is Kylo's number, while 76 is Finn's. If Driver was indeed in a Rebel pilot uniform, and he is Kylo Ren, then the inverted numbers make sense. Kylo is a bad guy Rebel and Finn is a good guy Stormtrooper.

Rey's number is 74, a reference to 1974, the year of Lucas' rough draft? Perhaps her character arc is heavily influenced by some of Lucas' earliest concepts?

    Sometimes a cigar-shaped speeder is just a cigar-shaped speeder.

Please don't worry if some of your speculation seems "out there." There's a lot of "out there" speculation all over these boards. I think it's great that you're trying to look beneath the surface and really examine the trailer.

I think people are over-thinking things a little. Symbolism like Rens's saber being medieval and high fantasy, Reys's clothing being similar to young Luke and intimidating Stormtroopers are reasonable. The blue sky being representing heaven and purity? Really?

Sometimes its just a blue sky.

This is true, I just remember doing this in film in studies when I was a kid. What is really weird is that this stuff can be examined to gain a qualification, I remember been bored and wondering what this stuff had in any relevance in real life. It can be interesting though and fun.

Hey Kitster, appreciate the link to the site. You know, I hadn't realized until you pointed out but 67 and 76 being inverses of each other, polar opposites so to speak is interesting.

Now that we have the second trailer, thought I'd throw a new analysis out there...

-The desert planet Jakku (NOT Tatooine, but Jakku, still an obvious homage to classic Star Wars iconography). In Japanese, “jaku” means “weakness” or “little less than” (though who knows where they derived the name).
-We see a downed X-Wing and then Star Destroyer in the background: the wreckage of the original trilogy. We see Rey’s speeder heading towards the Star Destroyer. She is salvaging the wreckage. (TFA is “salvaging” parts from the OT?)
-”The Force is strong in my family.” (a continuation of family-oriented themes).
-”My father has it.” Vader’s charred helmet (more wreckage of the OT). Vader’s legacy will loom over this movie.
-”I have it.” Luke and R2 in front of a bonfire, possibly a pyre. Luke’s reaching out to R2 for consolation feels tragic. Luke no longer has false flesh on his right hand, so his robotic hand is showing (is he now embracing and acknowledging his machine parts, a sort of scar that reminds him of his flirtation with and overcoming of the dark side?) He wears a light colored shirt beneath a dark robe (as opposed to his priest-like black uniform in ROTJ. He is a figure of light, but not dogmatically so).
-”My sister has it.” A hooded orange alien (a Jedi?) hands Anakin/Luke’s blue saber to Leia (more OT imagery, thought to be lost). A passing of the torch. Between the hood and the exotic-looking bracelets, the alien seems like a particularly spiritual character. This is also the second new orange character (after BB-8), not to mention that Star Wars Rebels utilizes a lot of orange in several character designs and its marketing. Is there symbolism to orange as it relates to the new direction of the Star Wars universe? Autumn? Harvest?
-”You have that power too.” (Someone in this movie is related to the Skywalkers, but we’re not shown who.)
-X-Wings flying freely (as opposed to in formation in the first teaser) over water on a sunny green planet. It looks fun! Poe’s cheer further indicates this is a lighter moment.
-Kylo Ren aggressively cuts the camera down, placing the viewer in the middle of the action.
-Rey, Finn and BB-8 run from a TIE attack. Rey is dressed in desert clothes like Anakin or Luke. He carries a staff (does she use it as a weapon or just for scavenging? One part of the hilt is very reminiscent of Darth Maul’s lightsaber. Will she brandish a double-bladed at some point?). Finn’s costume resembles Luke’s at the end of ANH. Are they both Luke-type figures? Perhaps they want to keep us guessing as to who has the Luke-type arc in this trilogy?
-Kylo Ren forces pushes the camera (again putting us in the middle of the action) as Stormtroopers burn a village. This could be Kylo Ren’s introduction (akin to Vader and his troopers blasting through the Tantive IV in ANH). He is a rage-fueled (fiery) villain. His mask is reminiscent of Vader’s in some ways (especially without the hood, as it flares out in the back like a samurai helmet). The faceplate is almost ninja-like (furthering the Eastern feel). The detail beneath the eyes somewhat resemble Darth Maul’s tattoos. His hood and tunic (tattered in places) evoke a medieval feel.
-Stormtroopers in formation in front of a huge red First Order banner on a snow planet. Very evocative of Nazi imagery. The First Order logo echoes the Imperial logo, but looks “deadlier” with its spikes. The name and the logo might evoke an occult feel. Perhaps the First Order is more extremist and cult-like, even openly worshipping the Sith? A darkly clad figure stands on the stage (either the leader of the First Order or another important figure). The snow planet resembles the Alps (or Germany? hint hint). Like the First Order, it’s cold and sterile (the natural equivalent to the Death Star in ANH). Is this their homeworld?
-Close-up of Rey. She really resembles Padme here.
-TIE Fighters attacking. Their color scheme has flipped, now a black cockpit with white panels rather than a light gray cockpit with black panels. Rather than shades of gray, they are black and white (representing the extremist “black and white” views of the First Order?)
-TIE attacking other TIEs and Stormtroopers (perhaps things aren’t so “black and white” after all. There are “heroes on both sides?”)
-Finn takes off his helmet, clearly emotionally affected. The blood on his helmet represents the cost of serving the First Order.
-Low angle on an imposing new Star Destroyer (the First Order is in a position of power). A V-shaped shuttle, probably the equivalent of an Imperial shuttle. Its wings now point up instead of down (more threatening?), and are also longer (more “extreme?”). Smaller boxy ships escort it (What are these ships for?)
-Chrome Trooper (Captain Phasma?) walking down an Imperial-looking corridor (with red rocks showing. Or is that just red lighting on the rocks?). As with the Empire, the color scheme is white, black, gray and red. The location feels like its underground (on the First Order snow planet?), almost like a Bond villain lair. The way Phasma holds her gun, combined with cape and general demeanor indicates she is the “Boba Fett” of this movie (a minor but formidable villain). The chrome armor and cape indicate an elite status.
-BB-8 peeks around a corner on the Millenium Falcon (evoking Leia’s peeking on the Tantive IV or R2’s peeking in the cave on Tatooine when Obi-Wan appears).
-Rey looking rather Luke-like, with wind swept hair and a serious expression.
-Rey offers a helping hand to Finn in front of a ravaged market. The composition indicates this is a definitive decision to team up.
-A TIE chases the Falcon into the wrecked Star Destroyer. This film gets its thrills by navigating through the wreckage of the OT?
-New TIE Pilot: a sleeker version of the original TIE pilot, with added red streaks (echoing the blood on Finn’s helmet. These guys wear their permanent blood stains proudly).
-The Falcon flying through the wreckage resembles its flight into the Death Star II in ROTJ.
-”Chewie, we’re home.” Chewie and Han raise their blasters, evoking a famous image of the two. They are home on the Falcon, and Star Wars fans are also back “home” with their favorite OT characters.

Feel sorry for them? No one is forcing anyone to believe any of it and even if they "fall" for it it's not exactly life threatening if they do. So why do you care (although those who are familiar with you may already know the answer)?
