    Its definitely there and they focus on it.

    Episode Three:

    There is an eclipse. Here we see the cloud obsuring the sun. A shadow over the light.
    His balance is completely off.

    Does this mean that the twin suns of Tatooine take on more meanings. Do they represent being better than good? Luke and young Anakin where whiter than white. Could this also tie into the Star motif I detailed above?

    Or its a subliminal reminder of what Anakin is fighting fate for, his wife and unborn child(ren).

    Thanks for that but those pics didn't work for some reason.

    I like to think the excess darkness employed by the Sith in unnaturally creating life (Anakin) bought about balance by leading to their own downfall (aided and abetted by Anakin's own children - concieved the natural way of course).

    Just posted this in your "dialogue" thread, Wolvo, but I feel it also deserves an airing here. Written by TFN member MisterVader two years ago, try this dissection of the "clone tour" scene(s) in AOTC on for size!

    Amazing
    Please tell me he has analysed every scene in the saga in the same way!

    He's written quite a lot about the prequels one way or another, but that's among his very best work, in my opinion.

    Those little "i" symbols are your consciousness deferred onto their products, a little head floating above a disconnected body.

    I do miss MisterVader's posts. This part reminded me of Pixar's Wall-E. The EVA robot looks just like the "i" in Apple products. EVA.. Apple.. heh.

    EDIT: BTW, doesn't anyone notice that in the Kamino Clone factory scene, that the moment of "taking any order without question" the clones appear to be eating from EMPTY PLATES. Its so subtle its got to be intentional.

    Can anyone tell me how to post images from my PC instead of the net?

    I have a post related to the symbolism of the four elements in the Saga but it would be better supported by images...

    DarthWolvo, my lad. Do what I did and get yourself a photobucket account. It's easy as pie --> http://photobucket.com/

    You may also want to consider setting up a Flickr account. I have one of those, as well. I'd start with photobucket and go onto Flickr according to your wants/needs --> http://www.flickr.com/

    Good thread. I don't have much to contribute atm, but a couple-

    - During the duel with Obi-Wan, Anakin destroys the device keeping the lava down, obviously leading to his own demise.
    - In the AOTC duel with Dooku, Anakin is fighting with a green sabre and a blue sabre. The green sabre is symbolic as a Master's sabre IMO (Qui-Gon, Yoda, Jedi Luke), and it gets cut in half. Anakin is then dismembered dueling with the blue sabre Obi-Wan gave to him.

    That was a good read. Had to look up a few words though :p

    I don't know if this counts as symbolism, but I don't know where else to post it. Also, it may have been posted before.

    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/shadowsith.png]
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/jedilight.png]

    Moving into darkness marking Anakin's initiation into Sithdom, moving into light as a symbol of good.

    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/crossedsabres.png]

    Obviously symbolic of their shift from partners to enemies.

    The overarching theme in Star Wars is that of good vs evil, conflict between father's and son's, and the eventual triumph of good.

    Not sure if this is the thread for this. These may have already been posted elsewhere...

    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/binarysunset.png]
    Luke looking to the binary sunset is an image of hope, and destiny.
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/eclipse.png]
    Anakin's light is blocked/eclipsed by darkness.

    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/heal.png]
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/Mentorheal.png]
    Obi-Wan does the same for mother and son.

    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/mentorhealinverse.png]
    And an inversion. Note he alternatively uses his left hand.

    This is an idea I had about Vader's masking and unmasking. Something I discovered; the parallels happen in reverse order. The numbers are in chronolgical order:

    ROTS1:
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTS1a.png]
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTS1b.png]
    Broken bond and immolation.
    ROTJ4:
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTJ1a.png]
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTJ1b.png]
    Reunited and cremation.

    ROTS2:
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTS2.png]
    Sidious's ship to pick up Vader.
    ROTJ3:
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTJ2.png]
    Luke's ship to take Vader/Anakin.

    ROTS3:
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTS3a.png]
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTS3b.png]
    Mask on and fear.
    ROTJ2:
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTJ3a.png]
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTJ3b.png]
    Mask off and happiness/peace.

    ROTS4
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTS4a.png]
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTS4b.png]
    Sidious' smile and Anakin's metaphorical death.
    ROTJ1:
    [image=http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/hevydevy1/ROTJ4.png]
    Sidious' death and Anakin's metaophorical rebirth.
