Let the battle for p&w supremacy commence!
powdered sugar > syrup
Though strawberry syrup is quite good, too...

Log Cabin Syrup is where it's at.
Though, one should never disregard the local flavors when it comes to syrups. Even regional grocer brands can provide a unique experience.
Personally, I'd like to build a home next to a maple one day...and craft an automated tap with aqueduct channel down into my breakfast nook.
I'd build the nook around the tree...but that might prove unsanitary.
There definitely are some very good local syrups that blow everything else out of the water. If I had to choose a national brand, I'm going with Log Cabin, though.
I just put jam, ice cream, whipped cream, fruit or sugar on my waffles/pancakes. Mostly jam.
Pfft. Peanut butter is best with pancakes.
Butter is better.
Butter is generally gross.
I don't butter my cakes, baby!
It's better not to butter. But I do sometimes dip my pancakes in syrup. I don't care about the brand really.
None of those imitators will do. It's got to be REAL maple syrup that came out of a spigot sticking out of a tree trunk.
Give me Vermont any day.
