Romulus Keto needed sleep. At least, that was what his body was telling him. It was saying that swimming for half an hour each day was all well and good, running over the sands in the Vulpter Arena was fine, and leading the charge at the battle of Prak City was healthy enough but [i]sometimes[/i], when you got to a certain age, you still had to rest. Unfortunately for his body, Romulus Keto?s mind was as alert and awake, as ever, and it was currently far too busy plotting the destruction of Republican fleets to worry about such trivial things.

Though he still had his doubts about everything, he had made his decision when he took his small flotilla here: he was with the Empire until the end. There could be no going back on it now- the bet was placed, the pods were in position, the race was about to begin. And the stakes were higher than anything he?d ever played for before. Whole worlds lay in the balance. Galactic governments. But that just made it even more thrilling. No true gambler could walk away from this. Not now.

He stood on the bridge of his flagship, the Imperial Star Destroyer [i]Aurelia[/i], and addressed his own fleet, sending through a transmission that would reach the Tetan ships only.

?My comrades,? he cried, ?my friends- today we go into battle against the New Republic.

"This is the greatest conflict we have seen in a generation. I can say to you without doubt that it is the beginning of a new galactic civil war. This fight is the start of a new chapter in history. The Republic is a corrupt, decaying government that has to be swept away and defeated. Ten of them are not worth the life of a single Tetan! It is up to you to be remembered as heroes when we take them on- I know that you all will do your duty.

"Fight with courage, fight with skill, and fight with pride. Our race is known for its fearlessness. Remember- they are more scared of [i]us[/i] than we are of [i]them[/i]!

She really would have to thank General Varful at his execution, his prize muck up on Csilla had made her the most loved woman in politics. [b]Sith_Lords[/b], I'm wondering if we should just abandon the final battle all together. It's really sad to see such a great game die like this, and the most frustrating thing is, I'm not even sure how it got to this state.

Motivation appears to be low, so it could prove painful to drag out a last space battle. Perhaps it would be more beneficial a closing summary of events to be worked out. At its most basic, it could go something along the lines of: The rebel forces were defeated at the station and the Empire and the Republic are now preparing for another galactic civil war, unaware that darker forces are at work. Meanwhile, the KP, CSK and RKS have formed a breakaway alliance, free from Imperial rule. This is a cliffhanger, true, but it sets things up for a future SL4 sometime far away (when everyone is fresh and motivated).

This would leave us with an ending, at least.

The Final Battle

"...Within a few minutes of arrival, the Imperial Space Station was turned into slag. The fleets defending the station hyperspaced out, to join the rest of the battlegroup at the location of the New Repebulic SSD. It was here the main battle was fought. The Empire attacked in great force, and, as if from nowhere produced a 10 mile long starship, an Eclipse Class Star Destroyer. This footage was recovered from the Republic SSD, before both ships were destroyed.
"The entire New Republic fleet was wiped out here, along with much of the Empires Fleet. The remains of the Imperial Force hyperspaced to a secret location, where, sources tell us, they attacked and olbitirated a hidden Jedi base. Luke Skywalker, leader of the Jedi, is missing presumed dead. The Imperial forces left this battle with nothing but a few ships, however, they remain the victors. This is Uok'Hyg, reporting for CNN."

Uok walked off, and his com-link buzzed. He picked it up, spoke briefly, than spoke with his camera man. "Transmit this Caui," he said, and turned to face the camera once more.

"BREAKING NEWS. Good Evening. There have been reports that the Imperial Space Center attacked by the New Republic was in fact a sanctaury for Chiss Refugees, recovering after their home world fell into civil war. It seems that the Information recieved by New Republic high command, was infact from Jedi sources. It seems this scum got what they should have, now, live from the Imperial Palace, we have an official statement from Chief of State Leia Organa Solo."

The Imperial Palace

Below the princess, a huge crowd of booing citizens are screaming.

"... A collosal mistake has been made. It seems that the information, recieved from otherwise excellent sources, was false. Due to this, I am forced to resign as Chief of State of the New Republic. I leave in grave times. What the Senate does not realise is that while we are cooped up here, a Civil War is," Leia paused. "Has broken out. We are once more at war with the Empire. Deal with this how you will. It is no longer my responsibility."

The screams escalate. The people believe they have been abandoned. Riots are breaking out in the streets of planets all over the galaxy, whilst on others, they're are celebrations, celebrations for the Empire's victory , and celebrations of the KP, CSK and RKS and the breakaway alliance they have formed.

"3,2,1, Mark!" A fleet of ships drops out of hyperspace, sorrounding a key Imperial stronghold. They soon attack the defending fleet, and land troops. This is not just happening here, all over the galaxy the SSi-Ruvvi are invading. Lead by their Emperor, they are ready to take back what was once theirs...

Ar'Jar Vena sat in his chair, watching the galaxy disolve into turmoil. The Empire, it seemed, had won a great victory, but lost a large part of it's backbone in the process. He needed to discover the secret behind that clone. An alarm wailed, and Ar'Jar took a deep breath, and swore violently. The galaxy, it seemed, was in more turmoil than usual. It seemed a 3 way war was about to begin, the question being, who would win? The answer, was obvious. It didn't matter, as long as Ilum and Wayland remained as his.

The majority of the Yubari fleet was destroyed in the grand battle and Maya had returned to Polis Massa a troubled woman. She estimated she had 15 minutes before the holo-nets arrived to question her on the whole event and how she felt about the great Chiss loss. She was wrong it appeared.

"Ms Yubari, someone from the Bastion holo-net is here." Karen said, she had assumed her possition as secretary as soon as they arrived, it seemed being a Admiral of the fleet was not to her liking.
"Tell them i will have a press meeting within the hour and send them to the lobby. Thank you Karen." Maya replied, she walked briskly into the office to her right and sent a message to Empress Teta and Bastion. Maya then made her way down to the lobby and stood at the podium. Now was her chance to show the galaxy just how much she could sway the people.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Galaxy. Today was a grave day for us all. What we all hoped... no wished would not happen, happened. War has broken out between the Republic and the Empire. I pray that this conflict will end as quickly as it begun and i pray that the Galaxy will not be torn again. I pray that the people, not just of Polis Massa and Vorzyd, but of the enire galaxy will be safe from the devestation i fear will happen. I have seen war, i have been in quite a few, heck i've even started one and they are not beautiful, they are not Glorious, they do not make a planet great. They make a planet like Csilla, they bring planet to their knees and then kick them while they're down.
"My compasionate people and I will do all we can to help those affected by what will follow, but we cannot save every one. So i ask you all that you will pray with me for a swift end to a battless war." Maya then stepped back to show her speech was finished at the reporters instantly stood up, all shouting questions at her. She held her hands up so signal for quiet and then nodded to the reporter from Bastion.

"What do you have to say about the Chiss refugees." He asked.
"That is a great loss, i personaly requested that that station would be used to house those people. I hold myself responsible and i am sure the former Chancellor made an honest mistake. But it being a mistake will not bring those innocent Chiss back, i believe that Lady Solo was correct in standing down." Maya said showing remorse, she descided to go with the no hard feelings approach to Leia.

"You must be happy that you're empire is now poised to take control of the galaxy once again." Another reporter said with a hint of cunning, he wished to catch her out. But unfortunatly for him she had suspected this question.
"I suppose this i a good time to announce that i do not count myself part of the Remenant any longer. I have realised that large organisations, no matter what their aim, become uncontrolably corrupt, and once glorious ideals become tainted. That is why i am declaring my two nations idependant. This is all i have time for, as you can guess i am very busy. I hope to see you all at the grand opening of the Vorzyd Driveyards in three standard days. Thank you." Maya finished and ignored the constant shouting of her name by the reporters. She hurried into her office and sat down quickly. She needed to think long and hard about what was to come.



The newly crowned Queen Yubari sat on her balcony looking out over one of the few green spots on Vorzyd. She had assigned Vorzyd as the Crown Capital but kept Polis Massa as her political base. A small voice came from the corner as one of her handmaidens appeared.
"Ma'am, Admiral Diego is here to see you." She said bowing slightly.
"Thank you Liilu, could you send him in please." Maya said nodding to the yound girl.
"You know, i think you've spent more time on that balcony this week than you have in meetings this year," A loud voice announced, Maya smiled and turned to see her great Admiral standing behind her.
"Hmmm, that's a long time then?" She said laughing slightly, she was smiling for once. She did not

Location: The Piazza Noctura, Kuat City

Mirna paced anxiously behind the curtain that separated the backstage of the platform she was currently standing on from the throngs of Kuati's waiting outside, in the piazza. Her government had leaked out news, not much, and not in too great a detail, of what was about to happened here at the Piazza Noctura. What was about to happen here in a few minutes. Where history would be made. And, as expected, throngs of people were present.

The female Moff lookeded at her staff, also present behind the stage. The good men and women that helped her become what she was today. It was these people to which she owed her all, the men and women which kept the NCSK running like clockwork during its desperate times.... its resurgence into power.

Her eyes rested upon Lysius Trent and his beautiful Esselian bride. He was now King of Esseles and President of Kuat, a most royal matrimony if there ever was one. She smiled at her best friend, a sad small smile. Somewhere inside her, she had always hoped that maybe it would be her standing besides him as his bride. No longer though, that past was behind them all. She blamed herself on being too slow, on assuming he would always be there for her.

Perhaps if she would have expressed her emotions. Perhaps if she would have told him of her feelings, instead of holding it deep inside. Maybe then she would have been living her hope.

A loud and boisterous applause from the crowd disrupted her sad musing as her mind snapped back to the present. Her spying of Moffs Arcona and Yark only underlied the point that she had a job to do. This massive crowd of millions, gathered here at the Piazza and no doubt on various centers on Khomm and Kamino were waiting.... watching their holosets for a reason and a purpose.

"Ladies and gentlemen." a female voice was heard over the massive public loudspeakers, "The Moffs of Kuat, Khomm, and Kamino."

The thick violet curtains opened up in front of them as if by magic, and nothing but the sunlight of the plaza and the sounds of millions of voices greeted them as they stepped onto the dias.

For Mirna, it was an awe inspiring sight, one unlike anything she had ever seen before in her life. The Piazza, set in the middle of Kuat City, was built by the seven founding families as a park and celebration area. It was circular in nature, with the stage resting at the top of it. Around the circular sea of peoples, a shimmering marbinite colonade with ancient statues of famous Kuati Merchants and Intellectuals bedecking the rooftops. The massive fountain of pure ebonite stood nobily in the center of the piazza, people sloshing around in its waters for a better look at the precedings. It was, at once, pure magnificance and anticipation. Chaos and Extravagence. The Kuati Moff knew it was something that would live in her mind forever.

The woman and her two fellow Moffs walked over to one of the ancient carved podiums. It was decked on its front by a seal of the NCSK, and was rigged with all the trappings of a modern auditorial and hypergalactic transportative method.

"My fellow people...." she said, speaking into the holoset. "Citizens of the proud and powerful Confederacy of Kuat. Good evening. I come to you today to discuss our future. As you may or may not have deduced from the Holonet, dangerous times are upon us. The Empire as we once knew it under Moff Qeyril and his predecessors is dead. What is now known as the Empire is battling for its life against a hostile New Republic. The Empire, under its current leadership, decided to pick a fight with the most powerful and stable government in the galaxy to date. The Empire right now is, according to my analysis, unable to win this fight. Yet despite our reservations, there are stalwarts within the Empire who consider such war-like alternatives to be an intelligent decision. It is with this strategy that the NCSK takes fault."

The Final Battle - Rebel SSD Fight

Konrad saw everything go to plan before his eyes; his fleet was suffering minor casualties. The grand Rebel fleet that was amassed to defeat the Empire in a quick blow failed. Instead the rebels found themselves at a quick blows end.

After the Eclipse took out the Rebel SSD, it was clear who the victors were, the remaining rebel fleet tried to run before them, but thanks to some interdictors, they failed. The Combined Imperial fleet moved onto their main goal, the Jedi Sanctuary, Konrad had a bad feeling about it though...


The Final Battle - Jedi Sanctuary

As the Imperial fleets arrived, it was clear on who was going to win, but at what price?

The battle dragged on as the Jedi Fighters kept avoiding the Imperial Fighters. Then, the Jedi using their sorcery turned the tide. Three squadrons of them, pin-pointed the Krieger Imperium Flagship and launched a torpedo salvo at it. The shields quickly went down, however their bombing run cost them, they lost all their fighters but one to the Gatling blasters of the Lord Class Support ships surrounding the KI flagship Krieger. The lone remaining fighter of that fighter attack strafed the command deck... Three men were lost in that strafe... two tech officers died instantly, while Moff Konrad Krieger lasted for another 5 minutes.

Konrad lied there in his most trusted man arms, Grand Admiral Jordan Swagerty. Before he died, Konrad said a few words to his friend, "My dear old friend, don't bother getting a medical team, I know and can see I?m dieing, both my legs are gone and theirs a big whole through me, all I want you too know is that I'm placing you in charge until my son can take my place as Emperor... that?s right I said Emperor, I have a feeling that the Galactic Empire will need one, also, remember this, stay loyal to the Empire, no matter what."


Bespin - After the final battle

The remains of the KI battle group that assembled limped its way back to port, a grand funeral was held in honor of Moff Krieger, after the celebrations of victory of course. At the end of the funeral, the Grand Admiral stood up and gave a speech to all those of the Krieger Imperium and maybe others who were listening.

?To my fellow citizens of the Krieger Imperium, our leader, my friend, a father, an idealist, died in the battle that waged not so long ago. The Rebels have started a war and have slaughtered many innocent people. Many of our loved ones were lost in that battle, many of which who were also fathers and friends. Our dear late Moff had a vision for our small Imperium, he wishes to see that we continue on our struggle for a better and peaceful galaxy, maintained by order. His vision of order was not one of fear, but of happiness and mutual co-existence among others.?

?He has left me in charge until his son can take his place as the man he was. I will help raise the boy into an effective and loving leader.?

?These are dark times ahead, our brethren in the Empire has fallen apart and distant. The last threads holding our fractioned empire together seem not to be there anymore. We are almost alone in this galaxy, at war with the Rebels and at each other. But now I have to say, we have a new threat, there have been reports of attacks across the galaxy, which the Ssi-Ruuk are invading on a mass scale.?

?In these dark times, we must look to the future and rely on ourselves and the few allies we have left in order to survive this black plague sweeping across our galaxy.?

?For the man you see lying before us today had one last request of his people, Stay loyal to the Empire, no matter what.?

IC: Nathaniel Yark

Nathan stood silent behind Mirna as she delivered her speech. As the speech progressed, a tear began rolling from his eye. In one climactic moment, they had created one of the most powerful factions in the galaxy. Nathan was now part of an extremely powerful triumvirate, one that could hold its own with any other faction. But he knew that what Mirna was saying wasn't all true. He knew the Empire couldn't stand to let the Triple-K Compact thrive.

The truth was, Nathan wanted the Empire to attack. He wanted a reason to destroy the Empire, pay them back for their traitorous actions. Nathan longed to go on an unstoppable onslaught against the Empire. He wanted to decimate entire Imperial Planets, until the Empire bowed down before the might of the KKK.

Mirna liked to believe there would be peace between the KKK and the Empire. But Nathan knew that "peace" was a thing of the past....

Vulpter

Romulus Keto was master of all that he surveyed. He was the Tetan Lion. The hero of his people. And yet, he felt somehow empty. The power of Teta and her fleet had left him cold.

A meaningless, shallow victory against the New Republic, that left the Empire half crippled and at the mercy of it enemies. The impending conflict with the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium, which would be as bloody and brutal as anything the galaxy had seen, for sure. And the formation of the Triple K Compact, this new alliance of Kamino, Kuat and Khomm. They were the wise ones, reflected Romulus, as he inspected what remained of the fleet he had done battle with.

However, the great Tetan Century remained. One hundred squadrons of the finest starfighters in the galaxy, armed and ready for use. And, Romulus had decided, that use would no be primarily defensive. He was not reclusive by nature. He was a proud man who never shied away from a fight. But galactic politics and warfare were so tiresome. No one ever learned. No one ever won. No one ever achieved peace. The whole thing was a sham. And so, perhaps inevitably, the day was drawing closer for Teta to officially announce its succession from the Empire. Most of the other remaining powers would also do so, in time, of that Romulus had no doubt. The Empire as it had been was long dead- the battle at the space station was merely a final parting shot at the? ?rebellion?. Fortunately, the Republic would be too pre-occupied with the Ssi-Ruuvi to have its vengeance immediately. Though the time would one day come. And Teta would be ready.

No, war was no longer of any appeal. Teta, Vulpter, Prakith, Alsakan and Velusia. Five worlds, now in isolation. And that was they way it should be. Let the other factions shout and draw attention to themselves. Teta would keep quiet. And Romulus would enjoy his women, wine, and song, as the saying went. Enjoy what remained of his tired life.

?Sir, the race is about to begin. The crowd are waiting for you.?

Ah?that was what was missing. Romulus Keto walked out into the sunlight of the Vulpter Arena, and smiled at the cheers and roars of his citizens below. And then, he placed his bet.

There. He didn?t feel so empty inside now.

Reports have surfaced that while the Empire was engaging in Battle with the New Republic assasians entered the Imperial Palace on Bastion undetected and killed Moff Talon Sharr. Some sources have reported that the highly trained assasians were hired by someone within the Imperial ranks.

OOC: Special Thanks to all the wonderful rpers who joined me in the 3rd part of the system lords saga. I was not expecting to have to gm the game, but loved every minute of it, and the wonderful scenarios that the players created. As always, all good things come to an end, as did this game, right before the end battle. I hope to see all the players in the next part of the SL saga, which should be appearing soon.

I'm glad this is still unlocked! Well to all System Lords Players i PMed i just finished this poster for System Lords 3 (starting at the end, i know, i'm crazy). If you didn't pm me your descriptions i'm sorry but i ran out of room anyway.

The whole things a bit sketchy but its my first time using Paint Shop Pro and it took me about a week to work out how to resize images! I had originaly wanted to edit the words at the bottom to say "System Lords" instead of "Star Wars" and keep Episode 3 and change "Revenge of the Sith" to "Blade's Edge". However i dont have wither the font or suficiant knowlege of the program to do that!

To explain who the people are (baring in mind i had to go from pretty vague descriptions from a few!)

Rachel Weisz is ment to be Mirna Cassot. I searched and searched for a lawyer but couldn't find one i liked so in the end i settled for her(though shes a brilliant actress, i'm sure she'd do Mirna proud)

The guy in the middle (have no idea who he is) is Reilan Arcona, for this BLemmisk gave me this discription

Arcona was somewhat shorter than the 6'-2" Rhona, and had a sharp face with short black hair and blue eyes.

So not much to work from, i appologise if its not how you invisioned him.

The blonde (Portia deRossi) is Maya Yubari, exactly how i envisioned her exept the hair would be better down...

The man to the far right is the picture Winged sent me and thus is Romulas Keto, so that was easy.

And finaly the Mandalorian helmet is ment to be Ar'Jar Vena, Sith_Lords just said mandalorian armour i'm almost certain i got it wrong though. Can't be helped.

So that is all... if you have any complaints hard luck i can't change it now as the layers will all mould together when i shut the program so unless you catch me in about half an hour its dones for good.

Well, you'd think i'd get better with experiance, but this is an example of that not being so. I was about to do SL2 but didn't and went straight to SL1.

Right, this is really bad but i'm not sure i can do better in one sitting. So i'll explain who everyone is...

The old guy is.... Gilad Qeyril!!! I know its so bad i laugh thinking about it but i searched for a solid hour looking for a skinny tall guy with a moustache and goatee but i couldn't find anything!!!! SO i gave up and went old. I appologize Imp, if you could find something better before i start SL2's i'd apprietiate it.

The man at the front in the Moff's uniform BLemisk will regonise, because its him! He said Rhona was ment to look like him so i made it him. I was quite proud of this even though it was simple i swapped his head with Jerjerod!

The only woman is Raine Yubari (Face of Gwendolin Yeo) so thats simple.

The Japanese guy is Chang Li-Jhong

And the last (but not least) person is D'tok Losstarot.
