This thread is completely dedicated to anything related to the T-series tactical droid. I personally, am a huge fan of the Tactical droid. I think it's the best droid model the show has created. There haven't been a whole lot, but I like that, it keeps them fresh and from becoming boring with too many appearances, still I hope there is at least one more this season. Some people think the addition is pointless, having OOM command battle droids already, but here my take.

Tactical droids look cooler then OOM units.
Tactical droids are smarter then OOM units.
Tactical droids look cooler then OOM units.
Tactical droids have cooler voices then OOM units.
Tactical droids look cooler then OOM units. :D

But this is just my opinion, whats yours?
Also, if you like these droids Do you have a favorite unit? Mine would be either TA-175 ("My ship!") or TV-94 (The voice and appearance in Grievous Intrigue was amazing, even though I dislike Matt Lanter's Anakin)

I must say that first i disliked Tacticaldroids- i thought they look bit stupid and i feared that they are used to replace all living officers of seppies and that tells about lazy animators [face_tired] Fortunately they were used nicely and with living officers like Grievous and Trench and they are indeed very funny characters so i like them nowadays:) i am getting used to their comical appearance (b1s look funny too) and i hope we will see more of them in the future- OOMs being very poor officers i think tacticals are nice addition- even though bit unexpected. As (obvious) lego collector you're probably pleased to hear that Lego company will release tactical droid minifigure in limited edition of Mace Windu's starfighter set- it will be up in january or february;) ....

In truth, Tactical Droids are in charge of the whole war. They abandoned Wat Tambor, and it's only a matter of time until Tyranus is abandoned by his model, or Sidious' identity revealed by them.

I like the role that the Tactical droids play, but I really hate their design. All I can think is this:

They were very unexpected to me. I didn't read the web comics, so I was watching Jedi Crash, and when it appeared out of no where, I was just like "Whoa, what the heck is that thing?" but the second I heard it speak, I was hooked. Yes, I have heard and very pleased :D I actually made my own custom, using a clone Pauldron for the top of it's head :p but I think the official version will be much better (And not fall off as much!)

I love the Tactical Droids! :D I just wish they would stay consistant...

I don't have a fav. (yet) but I would probably go with TX-20. That droid was evil! Plus he was blue.

Has anybody other than me noticed that they have screwed up the Tactical Droids this Season? TX-20 and TV-94 are incorrect. :(

Okay, I know the first one is from Robots, but what is that other one? It looks like the puppet used for a lot of the C3PO scenes in Star Wars Uncut.

I mainly noticed it with TX-20. TV-94 could have gotten a paint job some time between episodes. Easy retcon. But HOW could TX-20's photoreceptors change colors completely between the time he was on Dooku's ship to when he took control of Nabat? And the voice, which was awesome for the record, didn't match up at all. I honestly think he was supposed to be a different droid, and was incorrectly referred to as TX-20 on the episode guide, but Wookiepedia (for some reason) says the episode guide is higher canon then the episode itself? Shouldn't the actual episode be highest? Like the guide for CaM doesn't mention Trench's death, but it's obvious he did. I think we even saw him get blown back in the explosion, but I'm getting off topic.

I think that the tactical droids are really cool and make a fine addition to TCW roster of charatcers.

I think my favorite episode with a tactical droid in it was "Liberty on Ryloth".

Ah, TA-175. I was shocked (in a good way) when I heard him say: "Wat Tambor is a fool."

Anyone think that TA-175 may grow to be a nuisance to both sides of the war because he is collecting intelligience? Just imagine 175 becoming War Machine!

There was also Obi-wan's line from AOTC that really jumps out to me: "If droids could think, there would be none of us. Would there?"

It turns out they didn't get TV-94's appearance in ARC Troopers wrong, they got the whole character wrong. Turns out now the droid in ARC Troopers is TV-94B. This also means ARC Troopers is after Grievous Intrigue. Now if they will only Retcon TX-20 in Supply Lines.

I hated the tactical droid when I first saw it in Jedi Crash, but after seeing some funny incidents involving them in the Ryloth trilogy, Grievous Intrigue and a few others I think I'm all right with them now.

I do like the fact that some seem to have the tendency to laugh maniacally right before they are destroyed.

I also was surprised by the diversity we've seen in their units. I wasn't sure what to expect when Dave said we would see that, but I've been pleasantly surprised thus far.
