Yes, I couldn't agree more, so here are three things from the arts category that give me happiness/a sense of peace and beauty:

1) Franz Marc's Great Blue Horses, 1911 (I've already been practicing a little post-inauguration "self-care" today by changing my avatar over to this )




2) the concluding scene of Guiseppe Tornatore's Cinema Paradiso (1988):



3) the poetry of Walt Whitman (1891-92)




(in particular, passages like these):

Sure, post the pic, why not.
There was me, there was my daughter, there was Punk and there was Carrie Fisher. Twas a happy place.

Me, I like to draw and listen to comedy (lately preferably non-political), like the new Alan Partridge audio book or Bill Burr.
I like to build and play with Lego with my youngest kid.
I like to sit in my neighbor's house, listening to him play the guitar.
