Takeshi's Castle

Any other fans of this crazy Japanese gameshow? I reckon we should ask the Beeb to start doing gameshows like this. It's soooo funny!

 

I love that programme! Me favorite games are Wipeout, knock knock and skipping stones

And Craig Charle's commentary just makes it funnier

I can't help but wonder if Takeshi's Castle is a popular show in Japan or if they all laugh at it like we do...

What's the one where they have to get on a surfboard, jump over some fish, run past a chunky pocahontas and then get off the surfboard again?

But my favourites gotta be that ******* ridiculous bridge and the football cannon.

 

I've started watching these sort of programmes recently mainly because the Challenge channel have started showing GamesMaster repeats

Anyway, I think Takeshi's castle is great but I don't think a UK version would work, mainly because the Japanesse take it soo seriously which is what makes it funny. We just wouldn't be the same and I think it would loose something.

 

Isn't fun watching people humiliate themselves?

 

I LOVE this show - especially the mother and daughter version (or parent and child?) where the woman was all scared on the Bridge and hardly made it to collect the golden ball. Then the two weird guys let her have a chance and stood back with their arms folded... and she shot down the bridge before they had a chance to load up the canon! Ha

 

Wow! We have this show in America but call it "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge". Is your guys version translated correctly? Ours is dubbed over of course, but everything, from the mud they fall in, to where the players work, are gross or perverted.
