I was at the 1986 Statue of Liberty Centennial event. Spent the weekend on our boat anchored in NY Harbor. Also saw the Tall Ships in Charleston, SC a few times. Seeing the ships under sail...it is a breathtakingly beautiful sight!

That Golden Hinde is a beauty; I just wish they'd find a more appropriate backdrop. Jamming her in between all those modern buildings is just so wrong. You can't even see the sea!

Love the tall ships. They've been coming to Duluth for 4 years now and they draw HUGE crowds. And its getting to that time of year for my annual reading of Great Lakes Shipwrecks. I must have been a sailor in a previous life.

Yeah it is a bit wedged in there, not surprising so many people miss it

There is another one in Devon but I've never been to it, maybe that is better placed.

Back in 2005, my family traveled to Boston, and we toured the ship where the Boston Tea Party occurred. We took some really awesome pics that I'll need to post one of these years.

That would be good. I haven't been to the museum, but I took this as we were passing it. Notice the crates of tea going over the side?

Yeah I really loved Boston, and that was one of the highlights of the trip. That was back in August. I remember because ROTS was able to be played on the hotel movie channel.
