Tartan sources

Anyone know of a place that sells tartan fabrics on the cheap?

I'm hoping to locate the correct tartan, get some yardage, and send it to Sportkilt.com to make a kilt for my husband. However, all of the tartan places I've found want $60 or more per yard/meter, and that's is too expensive for me. I might as well buy a real kilt for a little more, at those prices.

Scotch Corner are UK-based and are a well-known store. I don't know if you will find their tartans any cheaper, though. They have a pretty extensive clan list if you are not sure what you need.
