is laborday weekend . do we want to dress up and hit it up and hand out fliers ? it could be fun.

why hand out fliers? haven't been too active on the boards lately but why fliers?

I say don't dress up, go there, have a lot of fun and show everyone that you're having a good time. Meet new people and then mention it. If it's one thing people hate... it's someone handing out flyers. What's even worse is people dressed up as star wars characters handing out flyers. Just have fun and have a few on standby for people you meet and get to talking to. Otherwise that's just freaky. Think about it from the average person's point of view.

I say don't dress up because it's always so hot. Friday night is Night Ranger, anybody interested in hanging out for that?

I just figure we are a STAR WARS group and should strut our stuff. As far as fliers go we don't just hand them out to everybody just people that talk to us and seam interested. that would be my only reason for going as I love to eat but not at the prices they charge for stuff, the crafts and art stuff is cool too . to be honest I liked the attention I got at KEMP. people that wernt even there for star wars were asking to get pictures with me. and thats what its about makin the little kids smile and be like hay I saw darth maul or I saw a real jedi. and if we can pimp the RMFF in the process then great.

at a verry high price . eat before you go , and just get a little food there . and if you want to drink , its gonna cost you !

i would have to say if anyone wants to dress in costume , go for it . i dont think i want to roast in my costume until i have some alterations done . i think i will wear a star wars shirt and i'll hand out some flyers . im gettin good at it !

 

I think we should have fun, pass out flyers, pimp the group and ignore JO's sad need to ***t on stuff other people want to do.


I'm definitely up for going to Night Ranger as a seperate thing from going in the daytime to pass out flyers, scary, but I saw Night Ranger in concert I believe in 1984.

I caught them in 86 & 89. I don't remember where I saw them in 86, but 89 was down at the auditorium on the AF Academy Campus. Killer show, and I think I remember it being their last tour as a whole group.

& Quit making fun of the Elderly. We get cranky when that happens.

I've got my RMFF T-Shirt that I made. I have 6 more sheets of transfer paper, if anyone want me to make one up for them. I have Sith Inferno & Rebellion themes right now but I could come up w/ something else if you like.

Chunk-It's not that no one wants to dress up, it's just that we all have costumes that are friggin hot in the sun. I think a good excuse for dressing up might be to help out w/ one of the Halloween Treat Streets they set up for the kids in October. Summer is just not a good time for costumes. Maybe after we get these Rebel Trooper get ups done, we'll be up for a summer event.

guess i am just a tad slow and i would be happy to pass out flyers but don't have a costume so not dressing up but i do have a really sexy friend and she could dress up in a bikini

no seriously whatever we as a group decied to do is fine , just because we dont dress up doesnt mean we cant pack sabers and flier's. although the sabers might draw some atention from the law.

How about instead of fliers we hand out buisness cards? Those we can carry around at all times and just hand them out whenever someone asks about it.

Your opinion is always welcome JO, it's the way you express it, and you know it.

It's fine to say you don't want to do something, or have a different way to do it. It's the way you insult the people who want to do it and demean them, go back and read the post, you do it about 3 times.

And you have done this almost anytime you don't want to do an activity. Go back and read the posts.

Everyone knows dressing up, collecting things, playing the games, etc. is not my thing, but I never make anyone else feel bad or wrong or "not normal" for wanting to do it.

There's a difference.
