Title: Tatooine Son
Summary: Luke has discovered the location of his lost love, but only to find her married to an old friend, and someone from his past is searching for him, and will not stop until he's dead.
The Solo's find their reunion more difficult than first expected, as a horrible lie is revealed that will change their very lifes forever. Jaina and Kyp are continuing their romance and finally end the threat of an old enemy. But someone from Jaina's past had decided not to give up so easily in effort to win her heart once and for all. Jacen deals with the pain of Tahiri's
death, as he must help his daughter with her own suffering, as Lee was the one who saw her
mother die. Will Jacen's own romance with Rainn survive all these sudden changes?
Notes: Lee is eight years old. Ravani is five years old.

It was a black day for the Solo family and their friends.
Leia looked to each of her children's faces as the Holy Man spoke the last prayer's over
Tahiri Veila's body on the funeral stage in the center of the Church that had been one of the
last in the city since the last war with the Empire had nearly destroyed everything in it's wake.

The church had not been in real use for nearly twenty years, so the underground Jedi Order
had used it for ceremonies and anything else that was needed at the time. Now it was used for
saying a last good-bye to a friend.

Leia never knew the young woman, but she could see clearly how much she had meant to all
that were in this room with her. Especially by looking to the faces of her two sons, as they
each bore a look that spoke volumes of their deep sadness at the loss of Tahiri Veila.

The look on her youngest boy's face, Anakin, left Leia speechless. He was in the deepest pain
of all. He and Tahiri had only just reunited. They had found true love again in each other, and
had even been planning to be married soon.

Only fate had held other ideas for them.

Leia only wished she could reach her son's on some level to bring them comfort, but neither
had a real bond with her since they were very young children, and they did not look to her in
this time of sorrow. It brought Leia some comfort in seeing each of her children allowed and
welcomed comfort from their father.

In time, Leia could only vow they would look to her when times were hard as well. She would
find a way to make up for what Mara Jade had done to their family. Twenty years was a long
time to just let go...

Han placed a steady hand on her shoulders upon seeing her distress and kissed her cheek
softly so. "I love you." He whispered.

Leia knodded with a sad smile to her face, and leaned into him for her own need of comfort
and solace.

She had never really known the mother of her granddaughter, but Leia could feel how deeply
the young woman was going to be missed. Leia looked down at Ravani, who stood between
herself and Han, and hugged her shoulders with a gentle hand in reassurance. The young girl
looked up at her and knodded her understanding of the moment.

Leia then looked to the other sad faces in the Grand room. Her daughter, Jaina, was crying
softly as Kyp Durron held her close in his embrace. There was a deep heartbreaking ache in
Jaina's heart, and something else that

Chapter One

The twin suns were hot against the sky today as Luke Skywalker made his way toward the
east section of Mos Espa where he was going to meet an old friend.
It had been years since he'd seen her last. She had been so beautiful it had hurt to look at her
at times as he knew what kind of life he offered her as her husband.

They had never gotten the chance to marry though, and it saved Callista the trouble of
learning what it would be like being his wife.

Mara Jade had put a stop to that and everything else. Luke regretted the day he ever thought
that Mara could be different from the cold murderess that Palpatine had created. She had
even made him believe that it was possible. Mara had even gave him hope that he had finally
found true love.

But when he had found Callista everything had changed for them. Luke had fallen in love with
Callista at first sight. She had been everything that Mara Jade was not. He couldn't help but
be in love with her.

Mara had taken the news badly that he had stopped loving her. She couldn't understand why
his feelings suddenly changed.

Then the worst thing possible happened. Mara discovered she was pregnant.

She had used the pregnancy and the unborn child against him for weeks later. Mara
demanded that he end the affair with Callista and marry her instead. When he refused again
after their son was born Mara had a break down. She had become insane with heartbreak, and
had neglected their infant son Ben, to the point where he died while she had imprisoned Luke.

Far worse, she taunted Luke with what had happened for weeks afterward before he had
finally escaped her with his sister Leia.

Mara had captured Leia years ago as well because she had mistaken her for Callista. For
years the Solo's believed that Leia had died, and Luke had been responsible. Twenty years
later they had all discovered the truth.

Leia had in fact been frozen in carbonite by Mara twenty years ago, and Luke had been taken
as her prisoner.

Leia had been able to find herself again in a new life with Han Solo, her husband of four years
before her kidnapping, and her longtime lover before that.

She was only begining to reunite with her three children though, as Anakin, Jacen and Jaina,
had only been young children before she had vanished from their lifes. They were all now
young adults with their own life's.

Leia was also dealing with a unusual side affect from her carbon freezing. She looked the
same she did the day Mara had put her in the carbonite twenty years before while everyone
else had aged around her.

Luke had never gotten the chance to ask her how she was dealing with this, but he knew it
couldn't be exactly good.

Luke knocked on the doors of the small sand farm house before him, and waited for Callista
to answer.

Hehheh, yeah, I've never been a Mara fan since Zahn stopped writing her. But I 'do' have long range plans for her that will be different than the Dark path she'll be on in this story. but were talking far away plans here.

 

Just so you know, starting Oct 4th, my writing time will be down to about once a week. The 6th Hogwarts House Cup starts then in the JC and I'm playing for Hufflepuff again. So I'll be posting when I can.

Chapter Two




Jaina Solo was finally a free woman.
After weeks of waiting for the Hapen government to give her word on the Divorce degree she
had filed against Isolder, she had received a small Holo-message from her stepdaughter, and
old friend, Tenel Ka, stating that she was now the official ruler of the Hapes Cluster in her
absence, and had granted her permission to end the marriage to her father. It would be
dissolved by the time she got this message.

Jaina couldn't wait to tell Kyp they could finally get married for real this time. Their wedding
ceremony from before had been the most beautiful moment of Jaina's life. It had also been
overshadowed by the devastating news that Tahiri, the mother of Jaina's niece Lee, had been
killed in a mysterious attack upon the old ruins of Imperial Palace that was in the center of the
city.

Fifty others had also died that day. Kyp guessed the attack was intended for the Jedi base
whom was only rumored to be under the old Palace. It was in fact well-hidden on the outskirts
of the most ancient part of the city.

Jaina had been trying to convince Kyp that the Base needed to be moved now after this attack
so close by. Kyp had out right refused her request. It was not only his home to move. He said.
Jaina knew that hundreds of other's lived here too but it was no longer safe. The Jedi need to
find a new and more safe place to live.

Jaina would have asked Jacen instead but her twin brother hadn't been the same since
Tahiri's death. He was now constantly watching his eight-year-old daughter day and night as
Lee had been having nightmares since she saw her mother die. Tahiri had even put herself in
the way of the oncoming blast so Lee wouldn't have gotten the full inpact. If Tahiri hadn't
acted so quickly Lee would have died with her.

It was also the final and bittersweet truth that Lee had been desperately seeking since
learning her mother had returned. Her mother had always loved her. Tahiri had proved it by
saving Lee's life by surrendering her own so willingly so her daughter could live.

It was all too much for such a little girl to deal with all at once. Rainn, the only constant that
Lee ever had as a mother, had been there night and day along with Jacen helping Lee as much
as possible.

Jaina hoped this news was what her family needed to be cheered some. She could finally be
married to her true love. She could finally be Kyp's wife.

Jaina ran out of the apartment she shared with Kyp in the base, and set off to find him.

This is good as well as sad! Jaina sound a little gloomy though.

 

Poor little Lee. Gotta feel sorry for her. Gets her mother back and then loses her permanantly.

At least Jaina can get hitched for real.

"Luke!"

Luke Skywalker instantly swept the stunned woman up into his arms, and kissed her with a
desperate passion. It had been years since he held a woman that he had loved, and he was
going to savior every second of it all.

Luke was about to kiss her again when she abruptly stepped back from him, and put a hand on
his chest to steady herself. Her breathing was heavily labored as she fought for control of
herself.

"Luke, by the Force," Callista gasped, touching his face in her shock she could not mask from
him. "You're alive, you're alive." She breathed as tears filled her eyes.

Lost in herself, Callista gave into her emotions and allowed herself to kiss Luke once more.
The need to touch him was uncontrollable. She was someone's wife now. That was not lost on
her. But in this moment, in case she was dreaming, she was also that woman that had loved
this man for so long. That had ached in loneliness each night for him. Each night she had
believed he was dead.

Meeting her husband had been her saving grace. Callista had loved him instantly but also
never changing her love for this man. Never once not dreaming of him at night. Of what could
have been if he had never went off to save his blasted sister from that Jedi witch.

Luke had been lost to her the last twenty plus years because of his efforts and Leia had been
presumed dead right along with him.

Leia had left behind a husband who desperately loved her, and three young children who
ended up with the Calrissian's as a foster family for most of their life's, as their father had
abandoned them for a life without cares.

Who meeting Xaveri had changed so much for him.

It was a shame that the new marriage for Han didn't last though. Xaveri had taken off after
giving birth to their only child together. Xaveri believed that Han never stopped loving his
first wife and her memory haunted their marriage like a plague. After having Ravani Xaveri
thought it would make Han love her more. It did not. That had been the final nail in their
marriage and Xaveri left him later that year after nearly ten years of marriage. Han had been
so devastated upon losing a second wife who was a foster mother to his youngest son also,
who'd come to live with them the last few years, that he made Callista vow never to reveal the
truth to his children, Anakin and Ravani, that Xaveri had abandoned them because of him.

It had been the second time that Anakin had lost a mother and Han feared he would hate him
if he knew the truth. That Xaveri had left them because he couldn't be the husband she
needed him to be.

So Callista had put up with the lie that Xaveri had died suddenly in a accident. Anakin and
Han told Ravani when she grew older that Xaveri had died giving birth to her.

Seeing Luke now made everything else she believed to be a lie, and it was all just too much.

Callista Darklighter then fainted dead away in her old lover's arms.

 

Ooh, this grows more interesting.
